Slurp

I hate firefox, what should I do?

I hate firefox and always for windows products. I strongly believe, free wares and Open sources has more security flaws than the pay and use products!BrownyCat (talk) 11:48, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand what you're referring to. If you're referring to the notice on my userpage that says "this page looks best in Mozilla Firefox", don't worry about it, as other browsers can also display it. -download | sign! 22:12, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Looks fine in Explorer. Aaroncrick(Tassie Boy talk) 23:14, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah; I'm using IE 8 right now, and it's perfect. -download | sign! 23:16, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Im using Google Chrome and its fine. No problems with this page, although some Wikipedia templates on pages display funny... (I linked google chrome up in case you want to know what it is...) Nz26 03:07, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage guidelines

Hey download, i am redesigning my userpage. Can you href a style sheet withing the userpage database? I was worried that the css document may not work due to code saftey and all that jazz. Assasin Joe talk 00:53, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can always copy mine and change the colors.  :) If you want anything special, just tell me. -download | sign! 01:11, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So CSS sheets are allowed in the user database? sorry i was kind of unclear Assasin Joe talk 01:14, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure most CSS tags are allowed in Wikipedia. Nothing should be against the guidelines. -download | sign! 01:15, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
okay, thx Assasin Joe talk 01:23, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
nvm, it was a pain in the butt i will just reformat the page with the code already in, thx for help. Assasin Joe talk 16:40, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

First off, could you just respond on my talk page? That question page, while maybe convienient, doesn't notify me like the talk page message (Actually, it would be a VERY good idea to discuss this with developers to invent a way to notify people of changes to different pages they want to be informed about, without having to look at their watchlist)

Anyway

1. What areas could I work in that don't require too much effort? I'd rather work on smaller projects while I'm learning the ropes (policy, etc.)

2. What are flagged revisions? And how come I never saw that flag on your page until now, and the voting is already closed? lol

Reverts

Hi, noticed this diff. Mentifisto reverted two vandalism edits, where your diff restored one of the pieces of vandalism. When you're editing with a script, it's usually a good idea to take a fraction longer to check that it's definitely done what you wanted to do, before moving on to your next task. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:59, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My request for NPW tool

I requested use of the NPW tool. I am aware that I have had a bit of a rocky past, however, I think I have significant experience with newpage patrol, and I'm not sure the admin who denied my request was aware of my proficient use of Twinkle. I know you can't override the admin's decision without just reason, but would you mind taking a look at my request for permissions with the NPW tool? I do understand why I had rollback denied, but after I saw the NPW request, I decided I was probably going to take back my rollback request anyway. Would you mind taking a look?

Thanks,

-Axmann8 (Talk) 18:46, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure Juliancolton checked over your contributions. I'd recommend trying again in a month or so, as your blocks are too recent for the admins to ensure that you're going to use the tools properly. Good luck! -download | sign! 00:48, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, a fellow programmer :)

I am a bit new as a member , but have been using wikipedia itself for years. Good to see there is such a rich community genuinely taking care that the info here is truthful and unvandalized.

Keep up the good work! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rumblethunder (talkcontribs) 10:57, 20 March 2009

Bubble tea

I made this through the {{bubble tea}} template not through the js. tool

How about making a slurp template similiar to the munch template. --Tyw7‍ ‍‍ (TalkContributions) Leading Innovations >>>01:58, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I had made one; however, we needed an image so I opted for it to be deleted. -download | sign! 01:59, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What image. Just use one with an empty cup and a straw Tyw7‍ ‍‍ (TalkContributions) Leading Innovations >>> 02:12, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
We do need an image that matches up with the bubble tea image though. Feel free to make one if you like. -download | sign! 02:19, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Easy! Buy a bubble tea and drink it. Take the before (full), and after (empty picture). PS. I can't do it since no one in my neighborhood sells bubble tea. Tyw7‍ ‍‍ (TalkContributions) Leading Innovations >>>02:38, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(reset) Haha! I can't either; nobody in my area sells bubble tea either.  :( -download | sign! 02:39, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Careful

Remember to check thoroughly every edit you make with AWB, otherwise things like this can happen. It's not your fault of course, seems to be a bug in AWB, but it's obviously not good, and you could have cancelled that part of the edit. Ta. --Closedmouth (talk) 04:08, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oops; very sorry! I saw that I made the typo corrections and thought the moving of templates was fine. I'll report this bug to the developers. -download | sign! 04:17, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What Closedmouth said above. on kigurumi the word is not currency, it's "one who performs as a doll". Racooper (talk) 03:52, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ouch. That's completely my fault. I'll look over my edits more carefully in the future. >:( -download | sign! 04:00, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How did {{dn}} get moved to the top? That's surely a bug... MathCool10 Sign here! 04:09, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Careful again

Again, please be careful with the automated tools. You've twice "corrected" the spelling of Kellie Rasberry in the Kidd Kraddick article. Thanks. Kuru talk 04:41, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Human

Hi. In case you didn't realise your recent edit to Human with AWB [1] mostly blanked the page. The edit summary doesn't really match with the article so I'm not sure what happened, but something to look out for in case it is a bug or the like. Thanks |→ Spaully 20:14, 22 March 2009 (GMT)

To this, I have to say WTF. I clearly remember my changes in AWB; however, it showed that I did not blank anything. I'll report this. -download | sign! 20:18, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rhythim Is Rhythim

Greetings. Your adjustment of the spelling of "Rhythim Is Rhythim" in the Detroit techno article was reverted. Derrick May released music under that alias, with that exact spelling, strange as it may look. There are a few cases where his work was reissued with the "Rhythm" spelling, but mostly it's deliberately written "Rhythim". —mjb (talk) 23:00, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AWB image edits

Please don't use bots to edit other people's user and user talk pages, except when absolutely necessary (e.g. copyright violations). Your edit to my talk was certainly not necessary, and in my opinion was not an improvement. Superm401 - Talk 23:57, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

When you say "Also, please perform a checkuser." However, according to WP:Checkuser, you are not allowed to ask for CU for proof of innocence. So please remove the statement under the statement "Notes". Thanks. MathCool10 Sign here! 22:07, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much in extending a hand. Already, I found your Adoptee's Classroom quite helpful. I'll flag the rescue when I get confused. Initially, please take a look at how Benito T. de Leon can be improved. Can I continue to edit it despite it being an autobiography? Your thoughts please. Thanks and only the best.
