Bring The Coyote Back

I love the coyote from that episode. It will be nice to bring him back, but the person who did the coyote's voice (Johnny Cash) died.--152.163.100.132 00:30, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't it translate to "The Mysterious Voyage of Our Homer"?

Jomer v. Homer?

The SNPP article lists this as "Homer". Which is correct? --DDG 20:17, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One of the best episodes

I just have to add that this is by far one of the best Simpsons episodes, and I wish it would get more airtime. I've only seen it played a few times. --Thoric 23:40, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Song "At Seventeen" in this episode.

The song "At Seventeen" by Janis Ian plays in this episode as Homer is walking through the town of Springfield after the vision he has. This should be noted somewhere in this page. --Snooziums 00:26, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page name

I have reverted the page move as it should have been discussed here first and is wrong anyway. The "(The Mysterious Voyage of Homer)" part is not meant to be a literal translation, its just the sub part of the title. The fact that it is also called and literally translates to The Mysterious Voyage of Our Homer, is mentioned in the article. If you think it should be changed, then please state that here. GA notes

This is well on its way to Good Article status! Just a few things I'd like to see before I pass you:

  1. Expand the synopsis section a bit. It doesn't necessarily have to be as long as the one at Lisa's Wedding, another Simpsons article that recently attained GA status, but it could be. There are plenty of details that could be added to flesh this section out, like more of Homer's experiences, the short shorts party at the end, etc.
  2. Break up the production section. It's one long, multi-topic paragraph right now.
  3. Give the whole article a once-over copyedit. Start with the misspelling of chili and inappropriate semicolon use in the plot section ("...Chief Wiggum's chilli; spiked with..."), and the awkward comma in the Production section ("...a mystical voyage, that was not induced by drugs...").
  4. Shrink the head screenshot a little bit, and the butterfly image a lot. Put {{fairusereduced|~~~~~}} on each image summary page after you do this.

That ought to do it. Take care of these items and I think this is an excellent article. In particular, it is very well sourced. :) --Masamage 03:57, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have taken care of the requested items and put tags on the images so that they will eventually be shrunk. -- Scorpion 04:14, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Wow, you're fast! Okay, looks pretty good... A few things got wackied up in the rearranging, though. There's now a fragment sentence at the end of the lead, and I note several sudden changes of tense in the Synopsis, plus some inventive words like "starnge" and "rund". Maybe copy the whole thing into Word or something to make sure and hit all the spelling and grammar errors? While you take care of that, I don't mind shrinking the images myself, as that needs to be done before handing out GA status, and I don't consider minor image work a conflict-of-interest. --Masamage 04:30, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro JomerEl Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer (The Mysterious Voyage of Homer) — This is the official title of episode, as the Official site shows. The page was called this up until yesterday when a user moved it, claiming "The English translation is not part of the official title" but as they source shows, it is. As this user seems against the orignal title, I decided it'd be best to have an official move discussion, rather than getting someone to move it back, as there could be others who agree with them. — Gran2 10:31, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Easter Egg

About 15min though, when the camera does a pan from upstairs to downstairs, you can see between the floors his telephone wires have been tapped. NSA, FBI, ATF, CIA, KGB, and MCI are all visible. This may be due to his run-ins with those organizations (though mysteriously nothing from the IRS considering he worked for them). Ghostalker (talk)

Gabba Gabba Hey

Is that me or Ned Flenders' "diddley" eventually winds up to "gabba gabba hey"? Approx at 8:15.
