Vital Statistics

I'm pretty sure Taz is not as tall as 5'9". Anybody got any good links?(Halbared 13:57, 3 June 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Yeah, he's definitely not 5'9". He's about 3-4 inches shorter than Jerry Lawler. Tazz is about the same height as Joey Styles.

Name

I am of the understanding that when Tazz came to WWE, Time Warner forced him to add the second "z" because his ECW spelling was the same as one of their cartoon characters. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks. --JFred 17:59, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if Time Warner forced him and WWE to do it, but I know that WWE wouldn't want to risk a law suit so I think they would have change his name anyways. TJ Spyke 21:15, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And by the looks of it, they are gonna keep the Tazz spelling even though he is now part of ECW again. --JFred 04:35, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That was my understanding (the added "z") as well. To keep it separate from the Looney Tunes' Tasmanian Devil. Though a citation may be in order. --EazieCheeze 09:05, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Senerchia

Should this article be moved to Peter Senerchia and the Tazz entry redirect to it? The naming standard tends to lend towards naming the article according to the wrestler's real name. --EazieCheeze 01:47, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

it used to but the naming convention goes to the name he is mostly known by and in this case he has been called Tazz for nearly ten years --- Paulley
Uh, Billy Kidman, Rey Mysterio, Rhyno - click on those and you'll see why there's something wrong with your argument. DonMEGĂ60645Talk|Contribs 14:17, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
if you look until articles are put up for a vote to be moved they stay on real names... as for Mysterio the new spelling has only been used in WWE and the old spelling is used for his farther -- Paulley 12:17, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Commentary

I notice that in this article, it doesn't say anything about how Tazz became a full-time commentator after he stoped wrestling for a while. Does anyone know how it happened? MB 05:44, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone put upa picture of him as taz! like mabey a picture of him at one night stand 2005 TheRealHBK

Son's name

Does anyone know the name of Tazz's son? Thanks.MgHoneyBee 03:21, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question

Sorry for asking stupid questions. But was Taz Heel or Face in ECW? Emilos 15:12, 10 March 2007 (UTC)emilos[reply]

He was both at varying points. Bmg916 Speak to Me 15:16, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Current Location

According the Massapequa article on Wikipedia, apparently he currently resides in Massapequa, New York which is on Long Island. Is that a true statement? If it is it should be added to this page or if its false it should be removed from the other page. Julie 00:49, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is a true statement. I added it. 24.191.99.78 04:48, 29 March 2007 (UTC)24.191.99.78[reply]

1995 Injury

I think there is some confusion about his 1995 neck injury, perhaps due to exaggeration on the part of ECW at the time and Taz himself. The injury in question took place on July 20, 1995, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Taz returned on September 16, 1995, in a six-man tag team match teaming with the Steiner Brothers against The Eliminators and Jason Knight. His first singles match back was on October 5, 1995. I don't know the true nature of the injury, but I'm fairly certain that he could not have recuperated a broken neck in two months time. Also, he had already dropped the Tazmaniac "wildman" gimmick before the injury. I updated the paragraph in question with what I believe to be correct. —The preceding comment was added by NakedRedneck (talkcontribs) 10:18, 26 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

You cannot update or edit something with what you "believe to be correct" all material is not based on what someone thinks they remember. It needs to be cited by a reputable independent published source. Please read WP:A, WP:V, and WP:BLP. Bmg916SpeakSign 14:54, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, but why revert to the old edit? I would like to see cited references for his being out for "over nine months." I actually did do some research on the matter, but the problem is finding a "reputable source" for that information other than some random web site of match listings. Is it really better to leave obviously inaccurate information in the article? 68.159.209.34 21:26, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

13?

What the hell does 13 mean for Tazz ? It's in his video entrance and on his Ts... why ?! Talon Kelson 00:51, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tap Out

I've heard from numerous sites and sources, including Joey Styles commentary at Vengeance 2007, that Tazz was the first man to make people tap out to indicate a submission. Is this true, and if so should it be added. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.6.82.153 (talk) 04:27, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Release

PWInsider's reporting that Tazz's contract expires today and WWE has opted not to renew it. I edited this into the article under the Commentating section, but if PWInsider is not an acceptable source go ahead and revert it or whatever needs to be done. With the slight yet important factor that WWE has not announced anything or the sort today, nor has there been any word from "Tazz". Hearsay, anyone? ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ talk 02:40, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

But is that true that what Im saying for all we know he could be coming out as a wrestler at the PPV to wrestle Y2J Supermike (talk) 02:38, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Basically, unless it comes from WWE and only WWE, wikipedia doesn't allow it. 99.23.75.38 (talk) 01:39, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- And I've got a source saying RVD is resigning with WWE and Undertaker vs HBK will take place in a Triple Cage match like Ready to Rumble. Please note the date and that not one of the above has come from WWE which has no problem announcing releases of superstars. Frankly, every single post everyone has said is shown is nothing short of Hearsay. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ talk 02:37, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok what does anything you just say have to do with Tazz Supermike (talk) 02:38, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Every major wrestling news site is reporting this. It's legit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.213.39.242 (talk) 12:31, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No its not remember these are the same website that said Benoit murder his family or that John cena was getting married Supermike (talk) 02:38, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not only has every major site reported it, but now WWE.com moved his section to WWE Alumni.

He still on the smackdown page Supermike (talk) 02:38, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
