I am a married man, of 55 years of age, live in East Yorkshire, England, and have a life long interest in pop music. Specifically, over the past nine years, I have slowly compiled my own 'Pop Star Birthday File' database. It currently has over 3,800 individual entries, which has been painstakingly researched through more media than I care to remember. Subterfuge over actual birth details is a popular occupation by show business managers, promoters, etc.

Consequently I quickly learned to check, double check, and triple check every piece of information that I uncovered regarding date of birth, place of birth, real full name and so on, of every artist. I have not kept a note of exactly where each minutiae was uncovered, but I have a copious library of reference work (see below), and spend an inordinate amount of time trying to be as accurate as possible - frankly, I should get out more !

Indeed, at one time, I was a hospital radio presenter in East Yorkshire, where part of my weekly programme made use of the forthcoming week’s entries in that 'Pop Star Birthday File'.

Should you care to examine my input to Wikipedia, you will find that it once primarily focused on information, relating to popular music star's birth details etc. I can not pretend I am always correct - indeed I welcome alternative evidence to confound my so-called 'facts'. More recently my input has concentrated on enhancing, expanding and referencing articles on many music related articles.

Rdbrewster has awarded you The Original Barnstar for your excellent contribution to Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers! Thanks, Derek! My original gave hardly any detail (because I didn't know that much about them). Now, thanks to you, it is a great article! Rdbrewster 17:35, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
