The way he painted women seem to have had a major influence on the Art Nouveau movement. The shapes, the faces, the colors (saving the distance between the oil paintings he did and the watercolors used mostly for Art Nouveau), the ethereal quality he gives to the subjects, all this seems to have influenced the painters from early twentieth century.
