Calcium chlorate Ca(ClO3)2 is a chemical compound formed from the calcium ion and the chlorate ion. Like potassium chlorate, it is a strong oxidizer and can be used in pyrotechnic formulations. It is a crystalline substance. It may explode when heated strongly or in the presence of reducing agents, such as organic matter.
