Rollback (add request)

I really want to rollback vandalism, but I want it faster so that's why I am doing this. From thanks, Thesmatestguy 04:47, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You had your rights removed seven minutes ago... –Turian (talk) 04:58, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done You recently had rollback removed. Get more experience fighting vandalism and come back in a few months. AniMate 05:27, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thesmatestguy just abused rollback again (just a couple minutes before his rollback was removed for unrelated reasons). Thesmatestguy, wait at least 3 months before re-applying; any sooner and your request is likely to be declined. rʨanaɢ (talk) 05:36, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to use Huggle to combat vandalism and rollback permission is a prerequisite. DRosenbach (Talk | Contribs) 03:26, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have experience using popups and Twinkle to revert vandalism and to tag articles for CSD. Most my edits are reverting vandalism and I have very few miscellaneous edits such as my user page. Imperial Monarch (DR) 00:03, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I revert vandalism quite frequently and admin Rd232 suggested that rollback may help here. I'm limited to undo and Navigation popups at the moment. Sean.hoyland - talk 15:19, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have had to revert more anonymous vandalism in recent months than I used to. My number of edits in general may be few, and I will probably continue to use Undo more often than Rollback, but it would be nice to have the feature available just in case. — CobraWiki ( jabber | stuff ) 03:59, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This user has reverted lots of vandalism with Twinkle and I believe he could be trusted with the tool. ~NERDYSCIENCEDUDE (✉ messagechanges) 23:34, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Question: - While I understand assigning people autopatrol or the like without them filing a request, rollback is a bit different. Do we know if Boing! said Zebedee wants rollback? Tiptoety talk 00:24, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Just to add my two cents on this, I think a person should consent to be granted rollback. I find rollback a pain in the neck on occasions because of the ease with which it can be clicked accidentally and have gone so far as to consider relinquishing it.--Mkativerata (talk) 06:56, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi. Thanks for the thought, and for the kind comments. But I don't actually see what Rollback would give me that Twinkle doesn't (I get three different "Rollback" links with Twinkle already), which is why I've never asked for it myself. Have I missed something? -- Boing! said Zebedee 13:10, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Huggle isn't really any use to me as I only use Macs, but faster rollback might shorten the window for clashes with other editors (and Igloo might be interesting to at least take a look at). OK then, I'll be happy to accept Rollback and give it a go, thanks. -- Boing! said Zebedee 13:43, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • PS: Just re-read this, and in case of any confusion, by "clashes with other editors" I just meant two people doing the same thing at the same time. -- Boing! said Zebedee 16:03, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done The other point is that rollback is easier on the servers. Whilst WP:PERF is not our thing it's still worth noting. Pedro :  Chat  22:03, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have been involved in CVN for a while now and have voice on #cvn-wp-en on Freenode. Also, I am interested in using Huggle and need Rollback Chris5858 01:55, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
[1] You made this mistake and then identified your own edit as vandalism? I'm not comfortable with you using Huggle whilst you're making errors with Twinkle, With sub 200 edits and very few vandalism reverts there's not enough other supporting evidence at this time. Pedro :  Chat  19:41, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry - my mistake - I didn't see th page title. I'm still not comfortable granting at the moment due to low levels of use but I'll let another admin review. Pedro :  Chat  06:39, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. I'm in agreement with Pedro that your overall experience is a bit too low at the moment. You have no cross-wiki contributions to offset this either (sometimes cross-wiki vandal-fighters want rollback here for occasional use, which is okay). Great work so far, but please reapply in a few weeks when you have generated more experience. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 08:35, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
