Sorry, having done so many images and other obvious deletions that check just wasn't on my mental "checklist".

Thanks for the note though, definitely will be now :) Don't mind helping out SCV as well as the other bits and pieces. I must warn you though, I tend to flit between things, bit here, bit there, but I'll give it a go. - Jarry1250 [Humorous? Discuss.] 16:54, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Are you able to compare Talk:Richard Levao/Temp with [1] (be warned: it loads slowly)? It may be perfectly fine; may be too close. Even though I didn't tag that one, I would prefer to get another admin to review his rewrites and MLauba can't get the archive to load at all. If you can help, it would be appreciated. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:18, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I'll let it load while I go and make myself a cup of tea. Hopefully I'll be able to compare in a bit. – Toon 16:31, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Right, loaded.  Checking... – Toon 16:51, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hrmph, OK. I think that some more work still needs to be done, to be honest. I think it's very evident that one source has been drawn heavily on for the majority of this article, with other references to verify the information added after the fact.

I'd probably stick them in quotation marks as they are a selective list of examples (and we can't really select any others), but they were selected by the source.

If it were just the second one of my examples, I think there'd be a case for "how many ways can you say something," but with all of this... – Toon 17:19, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. This has been a frequent situation here, I'm afraid. :/ I'll advise him. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:37, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Broadvox

Toon05,

Can you please assist me on how to have this article stay on wikipedia. I have asked for help in the past and would like this maintained. I am not trying to advertise the company, but would like to have general information about broadvox online.

PLEASE if you can assist me in getting this setup without "violating" wikipedia standards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kappasig221 (talkcontribs)

OK, firstly, I've removed the text you posted because it was copied from places on the web and we don't appear to have permission to use it. The most pressing concern is that the text appears to be a copyright violation; it looks to be taken from a press release, and we can't use content such as that without permission from the holder - although even if we had permission, the promotional language would make it an inappropriate base for an article. Rhetoric such as "worldwide leader," "trusted by more than 200 telecommunications carriers..." "provides the reliability, security, and quality of service..." are clearly not neutral - you would not want to find such things in the Encyclopaedia Britannica and Wikipedia isn't a medium for advertising. First, check that your company meets our notability guidelines for organisations. If it doesn't, it may get deleted. You will need reliable, independent sources (not your company website, not PRWeb) to back up everythign in the article. Then, just start with the basics and perhaps try to be modest. For example:

Broadvox is an American commercial Voice over Internet Protocol provider headquartered in Dallas, Texas. It was formed in 1588 following the merger of British confectionist Cadbury and the American plastic cheese manufacturer Kraft. It is the 3 billionth-largest communication provider in the United States, and 7 trillionth largest in the World.[INDEPENDENT SOURCE TO VERIFY FACT] Outside of North America, it operates in Zanzibar, Lesotho and Fredonia and employs seven people globally.

Except, of course, with real facts. Avoid hyperbole, do not copy from external sources without verified permission, and back up all of your assertions with citations from reliable sources. I recommend reading Wikipedia:Your first article and the neutrality policy before starting. I'll leave a template with some links on your talk page, which you may find useful. Take a look at BAE Systems as an example of one of the best business articles on Wikipedia. I hope this helps. I'm going away for the next couple of days, so may not see any further messages for a while. If you need help, you may find it at the Wikipedia:New contributors' help page. Best, – Toon 22:45, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Based on some feedback I've received, I've updated the instructions at WP:SCV and WP:CP. I've left a more indepth explanation at Wikipedia talk:Suspected copyright violations#Header update along with a request for feedback. As we try to get more people involved in this work, we want to be sure instructions are clear. Given your work, your input there would be very much appreciated. :) Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:46, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Enjoy your holiday! This is not an emergency. :D --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:46, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A little enlightenment

Take a look at the recent brief conversation at Moonriddengirl again and then try this - [2]. It's never too late for a song. Regards,

Ah, I see. 1967, slightly before my time, I'm afraid! – Toon 15:05, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes sorry, I assume everyone is as old as me !

Thank you for your message. I do need help with this. This is the first time I've been involved with this process. Where do I leave my comment here ?, or at it's talk ? Thank you Mlpearc MESSAGE 17:26, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Have a moment?

Hi. I recently cleaned up the article Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for copyvios from multiple sources. The contributor does not seem to be contesting most of the material, but is indicating that one passage in particular is reverse infringement. I can't verify the date of this material, as Wayback seems to ignore most of these sites. If you have an opportunity, can you review the conversation here and here and offer any feedback you might have? --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:23, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Yes, I'll come and have a look - give me half an hour or so to find my feet in the situation. :) – Toon 13:29, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. :) No rush here; the content is not currently displayed and can be returned at any time if reverse infringement can be verified. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:34, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, commented. If you ever wondered, gobbling Easter egg chocolate is not conducive to good concentration, by the way. – Toon 14:37, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Very much indeed. Your random kindness is appreciated. And I like to think so. Sir Richardson (talk) 22:18, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Toon,

I noticed that you have deleted my article on Sound Healing due to copyright infringement.

The articles that the system says my article has infringed were written by me or have been taken from one of my articles without giving an acknowledgment.

Best Wishes,

Simon Heather

Franck Ribéry‎

Hi, Wikipedia:Categorization/Ethnicity, gender, religion and sexuality#Religion says: Categories should not be based on religion unless the belief has a specific relation to the topic. He is known as a football player and so I think his beliefs are not relevant for the topic. That's the reason I removed the category. Do you think that I am mistaken in my interpretation? --Jaellee (talk) 21:29, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mr toon I am not spamming nor am I doing anything illegal. I'm just trying to protect an article that should have not been deleted at first. Please do take part in discussions before marking it for deletion. mini4me 22:59, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
