How you durrin? Instead of reading this user page, you should be correcting typos or writing articles. I'm joshing. Feel free to check out my place until you get bored and return to your educational research.

Narcissism

I'm a history, geography, current events, and political news junkie. I need rehab for this addiction. (I won't go, go, go.) I spend way too much time photographing and researching the history of random buildings in Washington, D.C., aka Porkville.

Random fact #1: I've discovered my home is a former embassy and that two people died on the second floor over 100 years ago. ("Carol Anne!")

I'm the son of a fundamentalist, Baptist preacher. I attended private, Christian schools my entire life and somehow survived four years at one of the most fundamental, conservative, Christian colleges in the nation. During my junior year, I began questioning many areas of my life: religion, sexuality, politics, etc. Fast forward a few years and you have an agnostic theist who is openly gay, pro-life, non-interventionist, and libertarian. In case you're wondering, no, I don't hate evangelicals or Republicans. (even though most of them think I'm a liberal, godless sodomite)

Random fact #2: I love creative YouTube videos.

I spent most of my life in North Carolina, but have also lived in Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida. I currently reside in the Dupont Circle gayborhood of Washington, D.C. (you know, "The Real World") I wish he lived here as well. [smiles] Apparently, my friends and neighbors think I'm a conservative. Definition of a Dupont Circle conservative: One who opposes government-funded abortions, pathetic attempts at redistribution of income via alarmist rhetoric, illegal restrictions on a constitutional right, and the National Education Association. (not all teachers shit gold and diamonds; on a related note, shit = United Federation of Teachers)

Random fact #3: Five things I miss about living in North Cackalacky: Banker horses, spending weekends in Asheville and the surrounding area, hiking up to one of the state's waterfalls, driving down the Blue Ridge Parkway, and visiting every lighthouse on the Outer Banks.

I love free speech (something the far left and religious right hate). I detest most political correctness. It's just a way to control the words and thoughts of people. (or as Orwell would say, thoughtcrime) Big Brother just wants what is best for you. Obey, goddammit!

Random fact #4: I eat croutons for brain food while editing this site. Oh yes, and I eat lots of Ben & Jerry's. (Suck it, Slim Fast. I'm still skinny.)

I leave you with the following quote:

"Republicans want the government to be your daddy.

Democrats want the government to be your mommy.

Libertarians want the government to treat you like an adult."

Feel free to ask me a question regarding my edits or to let me know how you been durrin.
