Important! – please read the following before reporting a mistake of mine:

  1. I do make mistakes while reverting vandalism. The following talk page will be probably full of correct complains, but please take into account the high number of reverts I make every day. It's still only a small percentage of my antivandalism work.
  2. Don't be angry. If I reverted an edit from you which I shouldn't have, I'm really sorry. If you (as I kindly ask you to) warn me of my mistake here, I'll remove my warning from your talk page and I'll be happy to present you my apologies.
  3. Please create a new section for every report (to do so, click here). It helps keep everything in order.
  4. Remember to sign your comment by adding ~~~~ (four tildes) at its end. It helps identifying who made the report.
  5. State clearly which article is the one you're talking about, if you can, a diff (link to the difference between my edit and yours) would be very helpful.
  6. I'll always reply on your talk page. That's because this page is archived every day (which means that section where the last comments is older than one day get removed). If you're an IP and you wish me to answer here, state this in your message, but remember to check the archives if you can't find my message.
  7. I'm not a bot, nor using any fully-automated tools to revert vandalism. I do assure you so.

I do read messages on this talk page as soon as they're posted, if I'm around, but I'll probably answer them later.

Added template for SuggestBot

We are in the process of switching from our previous list-based signup process to using templates and userboxes, and I have therefore added the appropriate template to your user talk page. speedy deletion

You have not explained why Robert Pitcairn (antiquary) fails WP:N criteria, please do that or restore the article. Robert Pitcairn (antiquary) has a notice in the DNB, as noted in the references, they are notable. cygnis insignis 13:45, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That is how they are noted in the Dictionary of National Biography, which was in the article. Restore the article and nominate it for deletion, it makes the assertion of notability and is not a valid candidate for speedy deletion. cygnis insignis 14:04, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • The DNB editor thinks he is notable as an antiquary! the article showed that and so does the abstract, your opinion of this is irrelevant. You seem to indicate he probably is notable, so you know it will pass through AfD, but take the discussion there instead if you want to waste more time on this. cygnis insignis 14:19, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
