The Loud Tour is the upcoming fourth concert tour by Barbadian recording artist Rihanna. Performing in over twenty countries in the Americas and Europe, the tour will support Rihanna’s fifth studio album, Loud.[1][2] Due to phenomenal public demand and good ticket sales, 28 dates have been confirmed in the United Kingdom alone, with ten of them at London's O2 Arena.[3][4] [5] The European leg of the tour will include festival appearances at Bergen Calling and V Festival—giving the singer her first festival shows in Continental Europe.
Background
Rihanna announced on February 9, 2011 that she will be embarking on a worldwide tour, the "Loud" tour, in support of the album of the same name. The tour will start in June in Baltimore and will finish in December in London. The Barbadian artist said about the tour: "We're creating an incredible ride with this tour. I'm excited to get out on the road and share my new music from this album. We are going to have an amazing time and I know my fans are ready to get LOUD!".
While on the red carpet for the Grammys, Rihanna talked to Ryan Seacrest about the tour saying: "Were going to start the first week in June in the United States. It's the Loud era so I'm very excited it's going to be new colors, new stage and a new show..." [6]
While on American Idol, Rihanna was interviewed by Ryan Seacrest where she talked about the design of the stage stating: "We've just designed the stage and we have a section that we are building... where the fans can actually be in the show and in the stage and be closer than they've ever been. It's real Vip."[7]
