Shankopotamus

If it you look at the view statistics, this page has received over 100 hits. Its it linked through to E-Trade and to the Super Bowl properly and has been approved by other authors and editors on Wikipedia. Please quit deleting it. The term, it's use, associations, and all facts known all clearly on the page and written in a formal way.

Fine, not too sharp on Wiki rules yet. Only a few edits. Actually, the page had 212 hits in February, more than a number of other wiki pages, but I think you're right it does not meet content. Appreciate your tag on my other First Baptist Church, Dallas article. Not trying to start a war, and did not know deleting on talk was illegal. I'll replace your posts. I've had trouble with other users who just delete things spitefully, but that was not the case here. I apologize and hope to see your edits on other articles of mine in the future.

Methuen Mall

There are major issues with the tone on that article, it reads more like something off Deadmalls.com. Also, there're still no sources, and there was no reason to add a list of stores (Wikipedia is not a directory). I'll try and copy edit it when I'm more coherent. Good job

Pat on the back for reverting the pest who keeps dropping the "University Sportswear" of off Steve & Barry's. He (or she?) has been doing that to other pages I watch over. Special thanks to reverting it at the Post Oak Mall page, cause that's MY LOCAL MALL. TheListUpdater (talk) 17:24, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kennywood

Hey Starfox, I was wondering if you knew anything official about Kennywood Entertainment and Parques Reunidos. I believe Kennywood Entertainment still exists, as a subsidary of PR. GrszReview! 01:00, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. --Drat (Talk) 17:34, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a template to request that an admin do what is needed to move the page.--Drat (Talk) 17:55, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Adoption

Heya Leo-Roy! I'll be glad to be adopted by you! The sad thing is, I've just found out how to use the talk pages around Wikipedia. Hope to see you soon! Resetti 4 Prez (talk) 20:44, 31 January 2009 (UTC) (P.S., how do I change my signature?)[reply]

Userboxes?

How do you make/find userboxes to put on your user page? Superscout22 (talk) 19:01, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

For every category you create, you should specify parent categories to which it belongs. You can do this by listing the parents near the bottom of the page, each enclosed in double brackets like so:

[[Category:Cruise lines]]
[[Category:Disney franchises]]

Note that I am a human being, not a bot. You may contact me if you have questions. Best regards, --Stepheng3 (talk) 00:05, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine. I know there's a lot to learn, and I hope I helped you up the curve. --Stepheng3 (talk) 02:48, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ctrl-click

Hi, I noticed that when you edited Holiday Inn, there were "ctrl-click"s in front of all the external links. I'm pretty sure this was unintentional, as the same thing has been popping up on my edits, starting just in the last few hours or so. I'm wondering if you have any idea of how this is happening, or if you could let me know if you find a way to make it stop. Thanks. — Bdb484 (talk) 06:27, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

wikEd problem: Ctrl-click

Hi Leo-Roy,

there seems to be a problem with the gadget wikEd that caused the insertion of "Ctrl-click" in your recent edit to Holiday Inn. Please could you help me locate this problem by reporting your browser name and version and possible other gadgets that you might have checked (under My Preferences - Gadgets) on User talk:Cacycle/wikEd#Very odd Ctrl-click issue.

Thanks in advance, Cacycle (talk) 19:26, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Braintree (now Quincy)

I reverted your edit to John Adams because you appear to have misunderstood what was meant by the identification of Adams' birthplace as "Braintree (now Quincy)". It is an economy of words, meaning "the North Precinct of Braintree, which is now the separate municipality Quincy". Your edit summary suggested you thought it was meant that Quincy annexed Braintree when in fact the converse was true. The form "Braintree (now Quincy)" has been used for many years by, for example, the World Almanac, and other reference books where space is at a premium. The article text gives a fuller account of the change. It is done that way in the infobox to help explain to readers the reason that Quincy is the birthplace and the location of the Adams National Historical Park while still stating that the name of the town at the time of Adams' birth was Braintree and is stated as such in sources written during his time prior to the formation of Quincy. I hope that explains the reversion. Sswonk (talk) 01:23, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

beta muscae

As a member of Wikiproject astronomy, you are supposed to make contributions to astronomy-related articles. I have an article in need. Beta Muscae. If you can, please add a few more sentences to the article. It's really small for a beta star.
