The Adventures Of Blinky Bill is an animated television series based on Dorothy Wall's books about Blinky Bill. The series is produced by Yoram Gross. Set in Greenpatch, a fictional Australian town, the series presents stories of conservation and nature through the activities of Blinky Bill and his family and friends.

Series

Series 1

In the first series of The Adventures of Blinky Bill (1993, 26 episodes), Blinky Bill and his friends rebuild the buildings and the community in Greenpatch, following its destruction by humans. They also come to terms with their new neighbours, the ill-famed Dingo family.

The series first aired on ABC Television on the 6 September 1993. Yoram Gross co-produced the first series with the ABC (Australia), BBC (UK), WDR (Germany), and EM. Entertainment GmbH (Germany). It is the series closest to the original book in character and setting.

Series 2

In this series, also known as 'Blinky Bill's Extraordinary Excursion (1995, 26 episodes), Blinky Bill and his friends become lost while on a school excursion in the bush. Finding their way home across different parts of Australia, they have many adventures helping out other animals in need, including a crocodile, penguins and farm and circus animals.

The second series was a Yoram Gross co-production with the ABC (Australia), WDR (Germany), VIDEAL (Germany), Beyond Distribution (Australia) and EM. Entertainment (Germany).

Series 3

In series three, Blinky Bill’s Extraordinary Balloon Adventure also known as Blinky Bill's Around the World Adventures (2004, 26 episodes), Blinky Bill, Nutsy and Flap travel around the world in a hot air balloon that takes them on exciting adventures being chased by 2 humans named Basil and Cyril who are the Circus Bros.. The animals he rescued were Ling Ling the Panda, Slippery the Seal, Yoyo the Monkey, Princess Penelope the Poodle, Leo the Lion and Tico Toucan (who originally works for the Circus Bros.) They went to Antarctica, the African Plains, China, the Amazon Rainforest, India and Paris. It was shown in high definition.

The series aired on 10 June 2004 on the Seven Network. The third series was a Flying Bark co-production with the ABC (Australia), WDR (Germany), VIDEAL (Germany), Beyond Distribution (Australia) and EM. Entertainment (Germany).

Telemovie

In 2005 a telemovie Blinky Bill’s White Christmas (80 mins) was produced by Yoram Gross-EM.TV. The telemovie first aired on the Seven Network on 24 December 2005. The theme song from the telemovie, "Christmas in Australia", was sung by Christine Anu.

Characters

• Blinky Bill: The lead character, a young koala. He wears red knickerbocker dungarees with a yellow button.
• Nutsy: Blinky's adoptive sister, another young koala, she become Blinky's sister at the end of Series 1. She wears a purple dress and a pink bandanna.
• Flap: A platypus, who is one of Blinky's friends. He hates being called Duck. He wears yellow trousers. He has a speech impedement like the Looney Tunes character, Daffy Duck.
• Splodge: A kangaroo who is one of Blinky's friends. He wears a green cap and green overalls with yellow suspenders.
• Marcia Marsupial Mouse: A tough tomboy mouse, another of Blinky's friends. She wears pink overalls and a pink bow.
• Mr. Walter Wombat (nicknamed "Wombo" by Blinky and his friends): Blinky's mentor who gives him assistance when needed. He wears a dark green robe, old gloves and green trousers.
• Miss Magpie: The town's school teacher. She only wears a black mortarboard hat.
• Mrs. Koala: Blinky's mother. She marries Nutsy's father and becomes Nutsy's mother. She wears a pink dress.
• Mr. Koala: Nutsy's long lost father. He marries Blinky's mother and becomes Blinky's father. He wears shorts and a blue shirt.
• Mr. Platypus: Flap's father. He wears a brown shirt and brown trousers.
• Mrs. Platypus: Flap's mother. She wears a pink dress and a white bonnet.
• Mayor Pelican: The town's pompous, unhelpful mayor. He wears nothing but a pink top hat and mayoral sash.
• Mrs. Rabbit: A Greenpatch resident and mother of many children. She wears a lilac dress and an apron.
• Granny Grunty Koala: An elderly koala who is hard of hearing. She wears glasses and wears old clothes like Wombat.
• Danny Dingo: Blinky's main antagonist. Often wears dark glasses.
• Meatball Dingo: Danny's younger, fatter brother, also a bully but not very bright. He wears just boots and a bucket hat.
• Daisy Dingo: Danny's sister. More concerned with her looks than anything. She wears a halter top, blue jeans and light-blue shoes. Her bathing suit is a green bikini.
• Shifty Dingo: Danny's youngest brother, who tries to fit in with Blinky and his friends and is eventually accepted. He joined Blinky's gang in Series 2.
• Ma Dingo: The bad-tempered mother of Danny, Meatball, Daisy and Shifty. She wears a yellow dress and a green head scarf.
• Mr. Emu: Mayor Pelican's helper. he wears an orange shirt.
• Ms. Echidna: An Echidna who is not fond of Blinky's mischievous behaviour. She wears a blue head scarf and a pink dress.
• Jacko: a kookaburra who often laughs. He wears an aqua shirt and matching hat.
• Nurse Angelina: A Wallaby nurse at Greenpatch Hospital. She always seen in a nurse's uniform.
• Mr. Kangaroo: Splodge's father. He wears a red hat, light blue shirt and dark blue pants
• Mrs. Kangaroo: Splodge's mother, She wears a light pink dress with a flower on her hat.
• Mr. Marsupial Mouse: Marcia's father.
• Mrs. Marsupial Mouse: Marcia's mother.
• Mrs. Spotty: A Greenpatch resident and mother of 6 children. She wears a pink dress.
• Ruff: A green Frill-necked Lizard who wears often wears a yellow shirt.
• Mr Gloop: A Bush Turkey who runs the local cafe. He wears nothing but a blue hat, a bow tie and an apron occasionally.
• Ms. Pym: A human lady who runs a shop in the bush and is not particularly fond of Blinky. She has a pet Budgie named Cedric.
• Cedric: Ms. Pym's snooty budgie, who refers to her as "Big Nose".

• Goanna: The crook at the beginning of the quest when Blinky and his friends sneaked into the cavern. He tried to stop them from escaping by doing spooky things but they escaped by mine cart.
• Slick: A Ring tailed possum who Blinky and his friends met when they were taken to the city. They later met her at a town with no humans. She wears a yellow shirt.
• The Owl Family: Owls who Blinky met while it snowed in the wilderness they travel through.
• Boris: A Polar Bear who came from Siberia and lives at a circus.
• The Sea Bird: Blinky met him in a Lighthouse.
• The Plovers: Birds who had their nest stolen.
• Henk: A Lizard whose parents who taken by smugglers.
• Sirol: A Freshwater Crocodile who was not like other crocodiles.
• Other Crocodiles: Freshwater crocodiles (three of which include Sirol's older brothers) who are trained for the Iron Croc Contest.
• Wallace and George: Two Feral pigs who fooled Blinky by being a monster.
• The Numbat Family: Two Numbats who invited Blinky to stay with them for the night.
• The Cockatoo: A grumpy Sulphur-crested Cockatoo who is not fond of Blinky after he ruined his tail and followed him around back to Greenpatch.

Main

• Ling Ling: A young wise Panda. She always remembers what her master told her in China. She is good at magic and is very helpful. She wears a light blue jacket. How she was sent to the Circus was not mentioned. She was the third to go home.
• Slippery: A big Weddell Seal who is a bit like Splodge (being clumsy). Tico wanted him to go home first to Antarctica because he always gets squashed by him. He was caught on a boat with a wolf figurehead. He wears purple pants. He is the only character not seen in the opening cinematic. He was the first to go home.
• Yoyo: A Monkey who was born in captivity. He loves to play pranks and sometimes causes trouble. His parents were once in the circus and died when he was so young which he doesn't remember and he never knew where he came from. He thought his family were in the African Plains but the monkeys were a different type to him. He even thought that was family was in the Amazon Jungle after being tricked by Tico where he later was mentioned by some kind Environmentalist humans as a South Indian Monkey. He finally finds his family in India who are Temple Guardians of the Forbidden Temple. He wears yellow pants with yellow suspenders. He was the forth to go home.
• Princess Penelope: A Beautiful French Poodle who often worries. She has many precious things. She wears a necklace and a pink Tutu. She once lived with a human in Paris who she calls a Mistress. She was accidentally sold to the Circus Bros. as a puppy. She was the last to go home. In India, she has a red spot, a purple skirt and a sari.
• Leo: An old African Lion. At the Circus he was fierce with his false teeth but at other times is like the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz. He was caught by Poachers and sold to the Circus Bros. In the African Plains (where he came from), his son Rex said that he had no place in the pride but he was let back after giving the Circus Bros. a Scare and saving Blinky, himself and his cub from cages. He is the only main character during the journey to not be put in a cage by the Bros. He wears purple pants. He was the second to go home.
• The Circus Bros.: Two human brothers named Basil and Cyril who are the leaders of the circus with the mistreated animals. They chase Blinky around the world to catch him (mainly) and his friends and intend to send them to New York. They say that Blinky will be the star who'll make them rich after seeing him on the trapeze which he grabbed by accident. Basil is the Ringmaster, who wears a black top hat, a black coat, a white shirt, purple trousers and has black hair with a ponytail and a mustache and is fat. Cyril is the Clown who wears a clown face (which he is seen without after the Circus was stolen), blue overalls, a white shirt and has ginger hair). They're the main Antagonists. At the end of each episode Basil accuses Cyril for failure.
• Tico Toucan: A grumpy miniature Toucan who works for the Circus Bros. and befriends Blinky and his friends. He is often the cause of the things that happen to the balloon. He tries to help the Circus Bros. catch the animals but Blinky doesn't know about that. However in the Amazon Jungle, Blinky saw him talking to the Circus Bros. with his binoculars at the top of a rise but he turned his back on the Circus Bros. and saved Blinky and his friends when they were all caught in cages. He originally did come from the Amazon with the other toucans, he decided to stay with the crew feeling that he didn't fit in with the other toucans despite being welcomed by them. In India he became the director of a show performing Bear, Mongoose and Rat.

• Skipper the Scurvy: A human who caught Slippery on a Boat with a wolf-like figurehead. He went with the Circus Bros. to Antarctica to head for Slippery's family. He wears an eye patch and has a peg leg.
• The Penguin Colony: the Family of the Baby Penguin that considered Flap to be his mother and followed him around. He took him home to his mother named Doris.

African Plains

• Rex: Leo's Son, King of the Mumbada Pride. He wears light brown shorts with a belt.
• Claude: Rex's Son, Leo's Grandson. He wears Blue Pants.
• The Poachers: Men who caught Leo and convinced the Circus Bros. to bring them a Lion Cub.
• The Chimpanzees: A group of apes who Yoyo thought was his family.
• The Ostrich Pride: Ostriches who had their feathers plucked by humans. Blinky was rude at them. They helped the Crew get Penelope's Diamond Bracelet back from the Bros..
• Twigger: A Giraffe who Blinky met while running away from his friends after thinking that they forgot his birthday. She was caught by Poachers. She took Blinky back to his friends. She wears a blue bandana.
• Nimi and Tobaccu: Giraffes who Twigger knows. Part of her herd.
• The Expert Game Trackers: Two humans who the Circus Bros. went with. They put them in a crate and stored them on a ship.
• The Elephant: an African Elephant who borrowed the caravan to take her sick calf to some grass with help of the Crew.
• Kiku: The Elephant's sick calf.

China

• Hugh: A human Boy who took Flap to be his servant temporarily at the farm with his mother.
• The Master: Ling Ling's Master. He was put in a cage in a human town but freed by the Crew. He wears robes.
• The Panda Colony: Ling Ling's Family.
• Arthat: a weasel who tried to help the Bros. catch the animals. He took Tico's job. He wears a blue shirt and a hat. He was soon fired after losing the animals.
• The Mountain Guardians: More Pandas who let Ling Ling and her Family share their home.

Amazon Jungle

• Anna: An Anaconda who is afraid of water, ever since she was young. She was in the Caravan with the crew. She saved Blinky when Basil pulled him out of the Caravan and into the water. She even saved the caravan from going over a waterfall.
• Coco Phil: A Howler Monkey who resembles Blinky. He has two yellow buttons instead of one.
• Sophia: Coco's adoptive sister who resembles Nutsy. She wears a pink dress and a Purple Bandana.
• The Leafpatchers: South American animals who resemble the Greenpatchers. Coco has four unmentioned friends who are a Sloth (similar to Flap), An Anteater (similar to Splodge, but wears a blue shirt), A Guinea Pig (similar to Marcia) and a Jaguar (similar to Shifty).
• Miss Egret: A Leafpatch resident similar to Miss Magpie.
• Mr. Arnold Armadillo (nicknamed "Armo" by Coco and is friends): a Leafpatch resident similar to Wombo. He doesn't wear an old green shirt like Wombo though.
• Mayor Macaw: The Mayor of Leafpatch similar to Mayor Pelican. He wears a black bow tie and a big black top hat.
• Macko: A Leafpatch resident similar to Jacko but is a Toucan. Mayor Macaw mistook Tico for him and asked him to help out for the unveiling ceremony.
• The Toucans: Toucans whom Tico originally lived with. Two of them are named Peppo and Raol. Raol is usually clumsy. They were caught in cages but freed by Tico. Peppo wears a pink hat and Raol wears a blue bandana.
• The Environmentalists: Two humans male and female who cured Penelope from the Purple Devil. They said where Yoyo came from.

India

• The Jugglers: A bear named Magid, a mongoose named Alsana and a rat named Sanjay. Tico became their director.
• Mr. Rashid: A man who caught Yoyo and put him with the Jugglers. He steals peoples wallets.
• The Tiger: A Bengal tiger who the mother of a tiger cub named Sondeya who was trapped under some wood. Flap freed Sondeya by digging him out.
• Rulmi: an Indian Elephant who was in the town of Chanipaa. He took the Circus Bros. there. He warned Penelope about the Forbidden temple. At the end, as he and the snake charmer meet with the Circus Bros. he trumpets loudly with its trunk and stomps after one of them.
• The Temple Guardians: Monkeys who are Yoyo's family. They guard the Forbidden Temple.

Paris

• The Mistress: A woman who Penelope lives with.
• Fifi: A cat who the Mistress bought while Penelope was gone.
• Maurice: A brown French Poodle who helped Penelope for her necklace. He wears a white suit.
• Phoebe: A lady who made Blinky a model. It got Blinky brainwashed about his feelings of the bush. Blinky then rescued Nutsy and Flap from the Bros. and regained his memory. She is equally as selfish as Basil.
• The Police man: A man who arrested the Bros. for barging into the Studio.
• The Plane Stewardess: A lady who was on the plane with Blinky, Nutsy and Flap back to Australia after the Eiffel Tower tore the balloon and their caravan smashed to the ground.

Sea (Never seen by Blinky, but they were just with the Bros.)

• The Sailer: A man who was with the Bros. on a sailing boat until they got on a ship.
• The Ship's Captain: A man who was on the ship with the Bros. until they got away by helicopter.

4	Blinky Bill's Fund Run	On Blinky's suggestion, Mayor Pelican starts up a Fund Run marathon to raise money for rebuilding a hospital. The Dingoes seize that event for the money. 5	Blinky and the School Inspector	Tired of school, Blinky humiliates Ms. Magpie in front of school Inspector Fox. With Ms. Magpie out, the Inspector gives the teaching position to Blinky. 7	Blinky breaks through the Drought	Blinky helps Mrs Rabbit grow carrots to cut down her expenses. The dingoes swipe some carrots from the garden for personal profit, but having failed to get away with it, they dam off Greenpatch's water supply. 8	Blinky Save's Granny's Glasses	The dingoes, while cycling smash Granny Grunty's glasses. To replace them, Blinky and his friends start a stage performance to raise the money they need. 9	Blinky Bill's Ghost Cave	The Rabbit family is homeless and losing their things. Blinky finds a cave, ideal for the rabbits to move into, except something creepy is inside. Blinky and Nutsy find out the dingoes have been taking the rabbits' things and scaring them, so Blinky makes his own spook to drive them out.	09/01/93
10	Blinky Bill's Zoo	After Ms. Magpie teaches her class about humans and species, a lost little girl becomes Blinky and the others' interest to house her in a zoo of their own. 11	Blinky and the Magician	Blinky and his friends meet the magician El Diablo and become his assistants after letting the animals out. 16	Blinky and the Film Star	The dingoes shoot a bank robbing film. The leading star Daisy attracts a lot of attention and makes Blinky, Flap and Splodge lovestruck. Marcia and Nutsy discover the acting is just a cover for an actual robbery. Blinky disguises himself as a girl and thwarts the robbery during the filming.	16/01/93
17	Blinky Bill's Treasue Hunt	Wombo tells Blinky about the legend of Captain Moonbeam's treasure and the gang decide to look for it underground. The Dingoes steal the treasure chest but are less than pleased when the actually treasure is revealed to be old bean cans.	17/01/93

23	Mayor Blinky Bill	With many complaints against Mayor Pelican, he decides to lend the job to Blinky. While trying to build a river road, Blinky tries to keep everyone satisfied. 21	Blinky Bill and Gretel	During a storm Nutsy tells her friends a fairy tale story about 2 Koalas named Hansel and Gretel who get lost in the woods and meet new friends and later send down a well by a wicked mouse witch.	21/01/05
22	Blinky Bill Remembers Nutsy's Birthday	Nutsy is unhappy as no-one remembers her birthday. The others are unable to make a cake as Nutsy is the only one who can cook. Blinky and the others find a circus but the performers are sick. However there is more than meets the eye as the performers are faking because their ringmaster is working them too hard. After getting the circus crew to work out negotiations with their ringmaster, Blinky is then able to surprise Nutsy with a performance for her birthday.	22/01/05
23	Blinky Bill And The Real Estate Swindle	On the seemingly endless quest back to Greenpatch, Blinky and his friends meet 2 Mischief Feral pigs named Wallace and George who tell them about the monsters in the area. They then meet two Numbats who offer them to stay for the night. They then go outside to find a monster who they try to keep away. Eventually, it turns out to be Wallace and George trying to fool them and later Blinky and his friends manage to scare them with their own monster.	23/01/95
24	Blinky Bill And The Feud	On the quest back to Greenpatch Blinky and friends start to feel hot and thirsty. They find water with a frog who wouldn't let them drink and a lot of animals in the Forest were unkind too, which later rubs on Blinky and the Gang. When Nutsy tries to mediate in the feud between the forest animals, she is nearly killed when she suffers a fall from a rotten branch. The feud then ceases when Blinky and Splodge foil two loggers.	24/01/95
25	Blinky Bill And The Possum Cinema	While trying to get home, a dust storm approaches and Blinky and his friends end up in a town. Blinky then finds no humans in the town and follows a possum into a cinema which turns out to be Slick. Slick shows them around the theatre and Blinky and friends find other animals living in the town. Then they have a good laugh at all the displays	25/01/95
26	Blinky Bill And The Balloon	Blinky and his friends have had an extraordinary adventure to get back home. They're feet then begin to hurt and they find a hot-air balloon in a tree. Blinky, Nutsy, Shifty and Marcia get on while Flap and Splodge get pulled along with the rope making the balloon heavier. They then finally reach Greenpatch but can't come down and throw a note down which Wombo picks up and Mayor Pelican calls a town meeting and Ms. Magpie flies out to get them in a stormy weather. Eventually the Greenpatcthers manage to find them and throw a welcome back party for them.	26/01/95

1	The Great Escape	The Circus has come to the Bush run by the Circus Bros. Basil and Cyril that is for both humans and animals. At home Blinky's Mother refuses to let him go but he goes anyway followed by Nutsy instead of doing his homework while his Mum goes babysitting and takes his friend Flap with him. However while trying to get into the Circus, Blinky realises that the Circus Bros. are not kind at all and are mistreating the animals who need freedom then while running from the Circus Bros, Blinky accidentally grabs the trapeze and swings back and forth with Basil thinking that he'd make he and Cyril rich. Eventually Blinky, Nutsy and Flap manages to Rescue the animals and make a hot-air balloon from the Circus Bros. circus tent and caravan and take them to freedom.	10/06/04
2	Bushwacked	Blinky has now rescued the Circus Animals Ling Ling the Panda, Slippery the Seal, Yoyo the Monkey, Princess Penelope the Poodle, Leo the Lion and Tico Toucan who works for the Circus Bros. and was asked to follow the animals. They land further into the bush where Blinky tries to teach them bush skills but they got scared by snakes on the job. Meanwhile the Circus Bros. arrive at Greenpatch and trap the residents in Miss Magpie's small classroom while trying to have a town meeting as bait for catching Blinky for when he tries to save them. Eventually Blinky and Nutsy manage to rescue the Greenpatchers, drive off the Circus Bros. and start his around the world adventure.	11/06/04
3	Antarctic Adventure	Blinky is going to Antarctica to take Slippery home. However the Circus Bros. head for to with a man named Skipper the Scurvy on a boat with a wolf figure head that caught Slippery. Once arriving Slippery falls onto the boat after the caravan tilts and Blinky and the others try to save him. Blinky climbs aboard the boat and releases him from the cage only to be caught by the Bros. and nearly put into the cage but stopped by Slippery. Eventually they get the Circus Bros. kicked off the boat and take Slippery back to his family.	12/06/04
4	Polar Peril	While flying through Antarctica the Balloon deflates on the snow as Blinky and Nutsy fight over direction. Blinky and Nutsy go out to a human village to get a gas tank to fill the balloon. As they argue they take a different direction and go to the town separately and do the same thing. While they meet each other the Circus Bros. find them as well and use the sleigh to get back followed by the Circus Bros.. Eventually the animals manage to inflate the Ballooon again and leave while the Circus Bros. fall into the Icy Water below and get chased by an angry Orca.	13/06/04
5	Flap's New Family	While leaving Antarctica, The Animals find a baby penguin who thinks that Flap is his mother who he found in the previous episode while searching for Ling Ling. They go back to Antarctica to take him home. Blinky, Nutsy and Flap go to find his real mother while the Animals freeze as Yoyo had sent the warm clothing into the sea while leaving. The Circus Bros. find the colony as well and treat them like slaves as Flap finds them. Eventually they find Doris, the penguin's mother and manage to inflate the balloon with the stove after Tico took out the hot gas.	14/06/04
6	A Stitch in Time	While leaving to Africa Blinky becomes impatient and tries to get them to Africa faster. Nutsy then tells the story of when Blinky got into trouble at the mine in wobbly creek back in Australia. Meanwhile the Circus Bros. climb aboard a boat to chase after the balloon. Later they steal the captains helicopter to chase after the balloon which runs out of fuel just as they reach it. Soon Blinky and the crew get to Africa and head for Leo's home. This episode is similar to Blinky and the Heart of the Tree from series 1 and Blinky Bill and Gretel from Series 2 but is a flashback rather than a story.	15/06/04
7	Leo Leads the Way	The animals have arrived at the African Plains. They get out and find a cub named Claude who is the son of Leo's son Rex, king of the Mumbada pride. Later Rex finds his father as a coward since he was only a cub left out in a storm and says he has no place in the pride. While Blinky and Flap train Leo to be scary The Circus Bros. who are with 2 poachers catch Claude and even catch Rex and Blinky while they try to save him. Eventually Leo manages to scare the Circus Bros. with the poachers into a trap and manages to save his friend, son and grandson and moves in back with his pride.	16/06/04
8	Monkey Business	One Morning in the African Plains Blinky finds a pair of Monkey's who he thinks are Yoyo's family. However he cannot swim like them and while he thinks he hears his friends saying bad things about him and leaves. Tico then stops the balloon from leaving and the crew see that they're a different type of monkey without tails known as Chimpanzees. The Circus Bros. then find Yoyo and put him in their truck as the animals find him and tell the truth. Eventually Blinky manages to rescue Yoyo and he and the chimpanzees manage to drive off the Circus Bros..	17/06/04
9	Diamonds are Forever	Ling Ling shows magic to the animals. While a is showing a magic trick of making items disappear and reappear in Penelope's fur Blinky tries a magic trick on Penelope's diamond necklace and Tico takes it to the Circus Bros. After hearing that the Circus Bros. will sell it in the city and stop circuses he let Blinky and the others know. They take a pride of Ostriches whose feathers were plucked by humans to chase after the Bros. truck and get the necklace. Eventually they manage to get the necklace back and drive off the Circus Bros. into a river.	18/06/04
10	Blinky's Birthday Surprise	At Greenpatch Blinky's friends who couldn't come with him planned a birthday party in honour of him which later turns out to be a disaster. In the African Plains Blinky is frustrated that know ones knowing his birthday and are busy setting up the balloon to leave the next day. He finds Tico who gives him a toy which turns out to be a tracking device for the Circus Bros. to catch him and he then meets a Giraffe named Twigger who is finding her herd and helps Blinky get back his find his friends. He then notices the tracking beacon at a stream and throws it in the river and then meets 2 other giraffes named Nimi and Tobaccu who are a part of Twigger's herd. Blinky then gets to the Caravan to see a fully ready balloon and his friends give him a surprise as they watch the southern cross like at home while the Bros. find the tracking beacon in the mouth of a crocodile.	19/06/04
11	Baby Elephant Walk	Blinky and his friends are collecting fire wood and find the caravan gone. They then see an Elephant pulling it who is taking her sick calf Kiku to find some grass. They help the elephant to find the grass followed by the Circus Bros. who are with Expert Game Trackers. When approaching a bridge, the elephant tried to be careful crossing and made it across safely and they saw the Circus Bros. coming. Eventually they get to the grass, make Kiku well again and leave the African plains.	20/06/04
12	Operation Free Flap	On a journey to take the animals home, Blinky and friends arrive at China so that they can take Ling Ling home. Flap falls out of the balloon after he and Blinky fight over the Binoculars and is taken by a boy named Hugh to his home with a bad bump on his head. The Circus Bros. also arrive in China in a crate shipped from Africa (which the Expert Game Trackers must have put them in) and see Flap on his news. Blinky manages to find Flap who is temporarily being Hugh's servant at a farmland with bandages wrapped round his head and they get to him at the same time as the Circus Bros.. Eventually Flap decides that he should stay with Blinky and learns that some humans are kind after all.	21/06/04
13	Crouching Dragon, Hidden Koala	Blinky and his friends have flown to hawks peak only to find no pandas and that night they go to find a panda that some farm animals talked about in a village. It turned out to be Chinese New Year, one of china's famous celebrations. They split up too find the Panda and the Circus Bros. disguised as a dragon take the animals and locked them in a shed. Blinky and Ling Ling manage to find the panda who is the master and Ling Ling gets caught by the Circus Bros. and get thrown in the shed tied up instead of being in a cage like the others. Eventually Blinky and the Master manage to free the animals with fire crackers and Ling Ling manages to untie her self and they then shut the Circus Bros. in the shed to have it blown up by fireworks in boxes after Cyril lit up a match.	22/06/04
14	Panda Pandemonium	Blinky, Ling Ling and the others have flown off to find Ling Ling's family where there's only few bamboo in the village. They tell the animals about a dragon who lives on a mountain near the village. Meanwhile Tico starts feeling left out after a weasel named Arthat helps the Circus Bros. catch the Pandas instead of him. The mountain guardians at the top of the mountain reveal that the dragon is a stone dragon which they use for scaring off humans and after losing the animals Basil fires Arthat for the trouble making him a loner. After that, Blinky and friends leave China followed by the Circus Bros. who are on a Trishaw which Tico tied a rope from the balloon to pulling them along across the sky.	23/06/04
15	Jungle Bungles	After flying over the Pacific Ocean for a long time with the Circus Bros. on a trishaw tied to the balloon Blinky and friends reach South America and are heading for the Amazon Jungle. Upon arriving Tico tells Yoyo that there's monkeys like him in the Amazon which there really isn't and is a trap to get him and the others to the Bros.. While landing Tico tells the Animals about dangerous things in the Amazon and they get back to the caravan with water all around and meet a friendly Anaconda named Anna who is afraid of water since she was a child. It is not long before the Circus Bros. reach the balloon for Blinky and Blinky falls out as the Circus Bros. are kicked off. Eventually Anna overcomes her fear of water and saves Blinky then saves the caravan and the Circus Bros. are sent down a waterfall.	24/06/04
16	Double Trouble	At Greenpatch while preparing for an Unveiling ceremony Splodge gets a letter from Nutsy. It is wear Blinky and his friends in the Amazon Jungle meet up with a Howler Monkey named Coco Phil who is very similar to Blinky and his adoptive sister Sophia who is similar to Nutsy who live in a town named Greenpatch and are not monkeys like Yoyo. Leafpatch has similar residents to Greenpatch like Ms. Egret who is similar to Ms. Magpie, Mr. Arnold Armadillo (nicknamed Armo by Coco and his friends) who is similar to Wombo and Mayor Macaw who is similar to Mayor Pelican and they are having a similar problem to the Greenpatchers. While Blinky and Coco are competing to see who has the best trap the Circus Bros. catch Nutsy and Sophia who they eventually save and drive off the Circus Bros. who fall down a waterfall again. Under the sheet was a ridiculous statue of Mayor Macaw and after reading Nutsy's letter, Mayor Pelican decides to cancel the Unveiling and a brach reveals a ridiculous statue of him.	25/06/04
17	Tico's Choice	Blinky and his friends have flown further into the Amazon jungle to find Yoyo's family. While there Blinky meets a colony of Toucans, two named Peppo and Raol who seem to find Tico familiar and Tico asks Blinky and the others to meet him at the rise. While up there Blinky spots Tico talking to the Circus Bros. with his binoculars and find out that it is a trap and decide to leave the Amazon. Meanwhile the Circus Bros. and Tico manage to trap the Toucans that Blinky met earlier and then manage to trap Blinky and his friends. Eventually Tico turns his back and the Circus Bros. and rescues the animals and making the Circus Bros. fall into the river yet again and decides that he couldn't fit in the with the toucans and decided to stay with Blinky.	26/06/04
18	Poisoned Penelope	While leaving the Amazon to where ever Yoyo's family are Penelope is picking purple flowers and trips only to pricked by one of the thorns. They go to Leafpatch for help and Armo says that the flower is known as the Purple Devil and that the cure is to get help from humans. Blinky ends up having to go without Coco's help after he twists his ankle and take Penelope to the humans. Eventually they give Penelope the medicine and mention Yoyo as a South Indian Monkey and the Circus Bros. end up being pricked by many Purple Devil thorns. Now Blinky and the others finally leave the Amazon and head for India.	27/06/04
19	All at Sea	Blinky and his friends are heading to India to take Yoyo home. At some point Cyril Circus Bungee jumps from a helicopter and then falls into the stormy sea. Blinky and the others then save him and take him to shore. Eventually they find a small Island that Basil and the Captain are at and drops him off and Blinky falls out with Basil knowing that Cyril did the job. Blinky then gets back on board and leaves to India getting the Circus Bros. into trouble.	28/06/04
20	Tico takes Charge	Blinky and the others arrive at India followed by the Circus Bros. on a plane who soon fall off having not buckled their seatbelts and meet 3 jugglers who are Magid the Bear, Alsana the Mongoose and Sanjay the Rat. Then a man takes Yoyo and puts him in a truck with the jugglers and drives off. Then while the jugglers perform the man who is Mr. Rashid is revealed that he steals people's wallets and people chase him off and get Yoyo freed. Then Tico decides to be the director for the Jugglers and has finally got a home and Blinky decides to head to find more monkeys related to Yoyo.	29/06/04
21	Tiger Taming	During the night, the Circus Bros. jump into the balloon and send it off and Cyril finds his Teddy Bear who he thought he'd left behind in Australia (and he is seen with it for the rest of the series). Blinky, Nutsy, Flap, Yoyo and Penelope spot the balloon and follow it to where it traps a Bengal tiger cub under a pile of wood and his mother tries to help. Blinky has an idea of Flap digging him free and he stepped on a twig and Blinky managed to show him self in front of the adult tiger and runs until he is caught by the Circus Bros. inside the balloon. Eventually Flap manages to free Sondeya the tiger cub and drive off the Circus Bros. and it is then revealed that there's lots of monkeys in the town of Chanipaa.	30/06/04
22	Monkey See, Monkey Do	Blinky goes to Chanipaa to take Yoyo home followed by the Circus Bros. on an elephant named Rulmi. While searching for Yoyo's family which is hard work finding monkeys Penelope is caught by the Circus Bros. in gypsy costumes. After saving Penelope the animals run off to a temple known as the Forbidden Temple which Rulmi spoke to Penelope about. While in the cave they spot a pair of monkeys who throw fruit at the Bros. and they turn out to be Yoyo's family. Yoyo decides to be a Temple Guardian like them and Blinky then heads for Paris to take Penelope home.	01/07/04
23	A Dog's Best Friend	Blinky and his friends arrive in Paris sailing down the canal to find Penelope's mistress. The Circus Bros. are on the Eiffel tower looking for them. Penelope's mistress has moved house. A Brown Poodle named Maurice directs them to the mistress' new lowly house. The mistress owns a cat named Fifi. Blinky's gang prevent Maurice from getting Penelope's diamond bracelet. The Circus Bros. arrive and try to catnap Fifi, but Penelope unites with her mistress and hands them the diamond bracelet. Blinky gets it back by trading Cyril his teddy bear.	02/07/04
24	Blinky Bill Superstar	Blinky's gang are on the run from the Circus Bros. and hide in a studio. Blinky falls onto the stage wearing a suit and he becomes a model superstar. Phoebe announces him as Monsieur Bibi, while the Circus are arrested and jailed, but they soon escape. As days pass, Blinky is so acquainted with his new lifestyle, Nutsy and Flap decide to go home without him. The Circus Bros abduct Nutsy and Flap and Blinky realising how selfish Phoebe really is, leaves her and rescues his friends.	03/07/04
25	Paris Au-Go-Go	Blinky unwisely decides to leave Paris airborne. As the Circus Bros. pursue them, the top of the Eiffel Tower tears the balloon and makes the caravan crash down stranding the three in Paris. Blinky's gang drive on a motor scooter through the subway and hitch a ride on a train to the airport. Blinky's gang give themselves up to the Circus Bros. to get a ride to Australia but Basil intends to take them to New York. Blinky's gang stowaway on the Koala Airlines plane where a kind stewardess provides their needs.	04/07/04
26	How Green is my Greenpatch?	Blinky's gang are back in Australia and receive a great welcome back party from Greenpatch. The Circus Bros.(who have mysteriously arrived) come to spoil the party, but the dingoes chase them away. Blinky leaves to hand himself over to the Circus Bros. for everyone's safety and Basil starts a Bushfire. Cyril leaves Basil's side to put out the bushfire, while Nutsy rescues Blinky. With the fire worsening, the inhabitants are forced to evacuate Greenpatch and Blinky, Nutsy and Basil get trapped in the fire. Cyril (who has joined the fire brigade) arrives with help to extinguish the fire and he takes Basil for retirement.	05/07/04

Greenpatch gets everything ready for Christmas Eve while Blinky does his usual mischievous activity, until he goes a bit far and clumsily breaks Wombo's precious snow dome. Blinky and Flap make a journey to the Wallamy Valley to get a pine to recreate the snow dome, whilst evading a couple of forest poachers and eventually meeting the giant wallaby creatures. Meanwhile Nutsy and Splodge try to make snow to complete the Christmas celebration.

Forest Industry Controversy

The theme of the first series carried a strong anti-woodchip message, with the second line saying "Save us from that woodchip mill", together with scenes of forest destruction. There were also obvious environmental messages in most episodes. Some forest industry groups lobbied the ABC arguing that the opening scene showed illegal wood chipping, which was not fair to the timber industry. In the following two series, these song lyrics and the opening credits sequence were different (the line in the theme became "You'll never catch him standing still"), reflecting the change in storylines and locations.
