Done TVShowsOnDVD.com is owned by, even if not editorially controlled by, TV Guide. Even though they're the only source reporting the release yet, I'll take their report as credible. —C.Fred (talk) 17:12, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Victorious crossover worth a mention?

Dan Schneider is developing another show, Victorious, and told the LA Times that there's a crossover with iCarly in the works. ("TCA Press Tour: 'iCarly' meets 'Victorious'? Nickelodeon says it will happen". Los Angeles Times. January 15, 2010. Retrieved January 23, 2010.) There's nothing more specific or firm than that yet. Is this worth a mention in the article yet? —C.Fred (talk) 22:26, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would say not now intill more is confirmed. Also it should go into the episode section when confirmed.Checker Fred (talk) 23:45, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nipple slip

So no mention of the underage nipple slip? 203.59.119.154 (talk) 07:54, 9 April 2010 (UTC) Sutter Cane[reply]

There's never been a nip-slip on iCarly and if there was, why would it be noteworthy? Is this 'nipple' you speak of a unique feature possessed by only one particular member of the cast?
--K10wnsta (talk) 01:45, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Although I don't think it's worthy of being included in the article for "iCarly", is this nipple slip, you speak of, happen to be in the episode where either Sam (McCurdy) or Carly (Cosgrove) are taking off their shirts for some pageant? Because I thought I saw a potential nip slip, there... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.137.111.232 (talk) 13:30, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. It's a clip that has been circulating on 4chan for a while. It is from some episode where Sam and Carly are in a dressing room, reaching over the wall fighting over some piece of clothing. When the camera view goes behind Sam you see the side of her breast. LOLHI IM QWERTY 02:31, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Seddie

It has been proposed that Seddie be merged into iCarly. Seddie is too long to merge into the main iCarly article, plus I believe this fictional pairing is of growing cultural significance. I propose it be a sub article. -- Confession0791 (talk) 22:56, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is no need for the topic in the first place. The first two sources are not reliable sources, so should be removed. The rest can be heavily condensed and included in the characters article. Ωphois 23:00, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
We can merge part of it into the main article, and part of it into the characters article. -- Confession0791 (talk) 02:56, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that the creator has hinted that they might like each other isn't really relevant to the main page. Ωphois 03:00, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It can be merged into List of iCarly characters, and/or we could create a seperate page for iCarly relationships, -- Confession0791 (talk) 03:12, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If anything, it should probably be condensed into the list of characters as a statement such as "Creator Dan Schneider has hinted numerous times that the two secretly like each other". There certainly is no basis for a relationships article. Ωphois 03:15, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Do what you think is best, because I know the article will be deleted anyway. At least I've learned how to cite references! -- Confession0791 (talk) 03:19, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

iCarly Wiki

Wikis can be listed under external links, providing they are stable. There are four administrators, five with rollback rights, and 285 active contributors on this wiki. They do have periodic vandalism, as all wikis do, but they have solved much of that issue by protecting key pages. If there are no objections, the wiki meets the standard for external links. -- Confession0791 (talk) 10:18, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Item #12 of WP:ELNO says to exclude "Links to open wikis, except those with a substantial history of stability and a substantial number of editors." Based on the comment above, I'm willing to grant that the iCarly site at Wikia has a history of stability and substantial number of editors. Of course, editors with opposing opinions are welcome to voice them here, but as of right now, I'm willing to say that the iCarly Wiki meets the except-for clause listed above and can be included in the article. —C.Fred (talk) 23:06, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Description

The introduction says "iCarly is a children's television series. Given the target demographic of the show is ages 8-15, I propose it say "children and teen's", or something similar. --Confession0791 (talk) 20:38, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It depends on what age range is considered a "child". The Emmy award nomination was for "children's program".Ωphois 21:11, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it's also won Kid's Choice awards, so basing it on a category of nomination isn't the way to go. The show is targeted at tweens and teens (it's a part of TeenNick, after all) and new episodes dominate the ratings for all cable television programming in that demographic (in addition to a few other demographics). I just rewrote the plot passage to remove the reference to children as the target audience (and to make it a bit more professional in appearance).

okay on other sites people are saying iCarly is saying season 3. Also Nathan and the stars saying they are saying they are shooting season 3. So I just want opions on what should we do should we movie everything back into season 2 for season 3 or what. It got confusing after the new opening titles were added. Carly's Dad

The iCarly page states "...Carly and Spencer's father is a naval officer on a submarine who is often mentioned but has never actually been seen on the show." In the Season 3 episode, "iWon't Cancel The Show" Carly's father is stated to be a United States Air Force officer, specifically a Colonel which is not a naval rank, serving aboard a submarine. To those not familiar with the military, this almost certainly implies that he is USAF special forces, which is further corroborated in "iRue the Day," when their Dad's friend is shown to be wearing a USAF officers dress uniform, and later on is seen to be wearing the scarlet beret of USAF special tactics officers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.238.33.93 (talk) 16:57, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This however is also not possible since only Navy Seals and Marines serve onboard certain Submarines. The SSN has limited availability in the Bremerton/Silverdale Washington area and only a marine or Navy Seal would serve aboard these ships. This is also the same for an SSBN in Silverdale. It is possible that he could be onboard an aircraft carrier as they do hold aircraft. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.183.173.76 (talkcontribs) 00:52, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IN one of the episodes, one of the characters mentions that Spencer is pranking again, just as he did in the 9th grade. Spencer retorts that that was 15 years ago. Vol. photo'g needed in LA: Young Artist Awards, Sunday Feb 23

Hi all -- anyone in Los Angeles, and available Oscar night to photograph various child actors at a charity's awards ceremony? There's numerous that have Wikipedia articles, with my summary here. Anyone interested? (Gibby is there.) -- Zanimum (talk) 00:59, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think the Young Artist Awards ceremony is set for March 13th this year. I think most of the iCarly cast is starting to "age out" of the Young Artist Award nominations, so I'm not sure how many of them will be there that night, but we really need a good picture of Nathan Kress on his bio page if anyone is planning on going (and provided Nathan even shows up). --- Crakkerjakk (talk) 15:04, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please cite your source for this. I or someone else would be happy to add it here, as well as the main star's pages, if you can provide a link to a reliable source. I expect an announcement to be coming soon one way or the other, since they usually begin filming in the spring, but I haven't seen any "official" announcement about when/if there will be a season 5 yet. Crakkerjakk (talk) 11:02, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Season 5 Update

I've been able to track down several news sources that are reporting that Miranda Cosgrove is preparing to begin filming season 5 when her Dancing Crazy Tour ends, and I've added the information to the Episodes/Seasons section. A couple are small-town news sources, but the fact that they all began reporting the same story within the same week, combined with the fact that Reuters news agency is one of the sources confirming the reports, I believe it's reliable enough information to add to the page now. Crakkerjakk (talk) 02:49, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Frankly, Reuters is all you need as verification. -- Zanimum (talk) 13:55, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I would usually agree, but Reuters was actually the last source I found on the subject. The reason I deemed it necessary to cite all three sources on the page is because the Reuters story seems to bury the headline that there will be a season 5 (probably not realizing that a season 5 was "news") - instead the quote they use focuses on what kind of movies Cosgrove would like to make - "What I'd really like to do is maybe a small, independent film with a story I love. That's what I'm hoping for, so maybe after this next season it can happen." - This reference to a "next season" does confirm that there will be a season 5, but the quote sort of treats the news of a season 5 as "throw-away" information, so I didn't think it was the best quote to use to comprehensively report the news of a fifth season. Also - the Reuters story does not state when filming for a 5th season is expected to begin (The way Cleveland.com does) nor does the Reuters report infer that Nathan Kress and Jennette McCurdy will also be returning (The way Cosgrove's comment to the Middletown Press seems to imply), so I believed all three reports were necessary to "piece together" the full story. --- Crakkerjakk (talk) 22:04, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I've noticed this problem on dozens of pages - This is not a "mistake" on this page (the reflink was showing up properly yesterday), but there has been some change in the Wikipedia automated system within the last 24 hours that has now "merged" different reflinks due to the system now recognizing all reflinks to the same website as all being the same (which they obviously are not). I'm in the process of trying to see if this is a problem that can hopefully be fixed soon. --- Crakkerjakk (talk) 08:45, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like we know what happened. I don't really understand all the "technical" mumbo-jumbo vey well, but basically there was an "upgrade" from HTML4 to HTML5 last night which wasn't recognizing certain symbols and caused all kinds of problems on pages, so the switch was reverted back to HTML4 several hours later which fixed the problem. There will still most likely be a switch to HTML5 eventually, but Rich Farmbrough is one of the admins with semi-autmated capabilities and he was nice enough to come here (and dozens of other pages that had problems), and re-named all reflinks to the same sites, so we shouldn't have any problems if/when there is a permanent switch to HTML5. --- Crakkerjakk (talk) 00:38, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Character descriptions

With iLost My Mind airing soon, isn't it weird that Sam's description says she likes (it's also obviously more than just that...) Freddie and then that she has a crush on Spencer? I know that it's right, but after all it's just plain meaningless with the whole Sam/Freddie story coming up now...so why mention it in the first place? I think it just confuses people more that are already confused by Sam's "sudden" affection on Freddie anyways...

Along with that, shouldn't we mention that it's unsure right now if Freddie still has feelings for Carly? Because he's apparently gonna reciprocate Sam's feelings...

Hi everyone. I believe the iCarly page should be moved from "ICarly" to "iCarly" to better reflect the proper title. The "move" button is not available though. Are there any premium editors that could make this change? User= TRLIJC18 04:01, 3 August 2011 (UTC))

Can't be done. There is a technical limitation that requires every article to start with a capital letter. That's why the {{DISPLAYTITLE:iCarly}} parameter is present in the article: it's the workaround to tell the software to start the title with a lowercase i—and render the page title in italics while it's at it. —C.Fred (talk) 04:22, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Season 4 had not end yet

This was said on the Article page: The season ended on June 11, 2011 with the original version of the movie, iParty with Victorious, and on August 27, 2011, with the extended version of this movie.

Look, Dan Schneider split the season in half after 45 episodes were ordered
right but he did not split the season in half because he kept it going.
The Season 2 Production Codes kept going for both Season's (Season 2 & 3) with 2xx.
So Dan Schneider did not split the season in half after 45 episodes were ordered
because he kept it going & call Season 4 in the 3xx Production Codes.
That is so wrong.
Season 4 have not ending yet because Dan Schneider said that Season 5 will began in
2012 & air that same year.
it the 2nd half of season 4 started from "iLost My Mind" as 414, Not 402 or 502.
The thing is that Dan Schneider did not split the season in half after 45 episodes
were ordered because he kept it in the 2xx for Season 3 & made Season 4 in the 3xx.
That is not suppost to happen because the Production Codes are like Seasonal Number.
Sample here: Season 3, Episode 01 for "iThink They Kiss" is 301, not 227
& Season 4, Episode 01 for "iGot a Hot Room" is 401, Not 301.
Season 4, Episode 14 for "iLost My Mind" is 414, Not 402.
Dan Schneider said: Season 4 with 12 more episodes, completing the original 26-episode order
that will air after "iParty with Victorious".
On April 14, 2011, Nickelodeon officially announced the 5th season renewal of iCarly. A total of 13 episodes will be produced for that season, with production beginning in 2012 with the episodes airing later that year (In 2012).
Get this to your head: We are still in the 2nd half of Season 4 as "iLost My Mind" is 414.
Thank You....
