Rollback

(add requestview requests)

I have been using twinkle for experience, now I'm thinking of building a Bot. But I only have over a month experience in English Wikipedia. I'm also active in Malayalam Wikipedia. I have about 616 edits in total in all Wikipedia's, I joined 43 days ago. I'm active on 30 project sites. /\ talk← Aviyal →Policy) /\ 21:57, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have been patrolling the recent changes and reverting vandalism, but I need an easy way to revert vandalism quickly so I can revert more vandalism. Agent 78787 talk contribs 02:08, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have had my rights stripped back when I was blocked (which was a couple of weeks ago allowing time for things to cool down), however I have since convinced the community that this block was no longer necessary and demonstrated good faith edits. Kiko4564 (talk) 18:46, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done I'm personally minded that we should restore tools to users who have regained confidence; however here I think this is a decision that should not be made by one admin alone. At this risk of increased bureaucracy, I'd recommend either (a) a request to User:PeterSymonds as a steward and the remover of the rights - or perhaps more ideally (b) you flag this at the admins noticeboard linking my comments. I have used rollback many times on Twinkle, I am sharp on reverting vandalism, I patrol new pages also. I would like to use Huggle that is my primary reason for requesting. JayJayTalk to me 23:34, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Please remember that rollback should only be used in clear cases of vandalism. Swarm X 03:59, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This bot is to replace SoxBot. SoxBot had Rollback rights. —cyberpower (Chat)(WP Edits: 519,754,971) 00:55, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) The operator of the bot has rollback. Armbrust, B.Ed. Let's talkabout my edits? 01:39, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) The bot may not need rollback at all. →Στc. 02:37, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Did SoxBot need rollback to perform its tasks? It doesn't look like it. Unless this bot will have a task that requires rollback, there's no reason to grant it now. Swarm X 03:57, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) The rollbacker right to SoxBot was added by X!. Armbrust, B.Ed. Let's talkabout my edits? 11:24, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
User:X! probably had a reason to add rollback to SoxBot. Being that Cyberbot I is to operate exactly like SoxBot did at it's last state, I would recommend adding rollback just in case. Please note that I have Rollback and Reviewer rights.—cyberpower (Chat)(WP Edits: 519,905,801) 19:48, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. The bot is not even flagged yet, and you haven't made a case for it needing rollback rights. If the bot needs to perform rollback, then make your case through a BRFA. CharlieEchoTango (contact) 07:54, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Noted. Thank you.—cyberpower (Chat)(WP Edits: 520,019,937) 11:10, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sometimes (when I am bored with checking through AfC) I patrol the Recent Changes page and look for vandals, I have been using Twinkle for rollbacks, but you have to go to the user's page to do it. Also, a friend suggested Huggle to me, but it needs rollback rights. Cheers Kinkreet (talk) 19:09, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have been editing for over a month now. I already use twinkle for reverting, but it couldn't hurt to have another tool for reverting obvious vandalism. —HueSatLum 22:10, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done, but please make sure you understand what constitutes vandalism and what does not (e.g. test edits are not vandalism). CharlieEchoTango (contact) 07:58, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I would like rollback to try out the tools Huggle and Igloo. I have been using Twinkle to revert vandalism for a few months. J36miles (talk) 07:27, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm tired of doing manual rollbacks on vandals, and I can't use Twinkle since I'm using IE 8 on XP. Meters (talk) 20:28, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
 Done. Swarm X 02:45, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Have been an editor for several years and while fighting vandalism's simple now it can still be an arduous process. Requesting access to ease the job along and allow for secondary aps. Papacha (talk) 02:36, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
