Why Texas or Austin

SEMATECH seems to in Albany, NY. Why is there Austin and Texas here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.141.27.167 (talk) 14:12, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Because we list the location of the organization's headquarters and not branch offices. Austin was selected for SEMATECH's location when the consortium was founded,[1] and is still listed as by SEMATECH as being their official headquarters.[2] Albany is only the location of SEMATECH-North[3]. --Allen3 ^talk 14:42, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this as the article claims is an acromyn of semiconductor manufacturing technology should't the acronym be SeMaTech not SEMATECH.--174.93.169.157 (talk) 05:25, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
