Vũ Hoàng My (aka Vũ Thị Hoàng My; born 1988, Đồng Nai Province, Vietnam) is a Vietnamese beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned the first runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2010 and represented Vietnam at Miss Universe 2011 pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil.[3] She will represent Vietnam at Miss World 2012 in China. She's currently attending RMIT International University, Vietnam, majoring in multimedia and designing. She speaks Vietnamese, English and is studying Portuguese.
Early Life and Family
Vũ Hoàng My, which translates in English to "Golden Feather of a Bird", was born into a family of head masters, educators, architects and agriculturalists. Her early life was spent at Đồng Nai province in southeastern Vietnam, where foreign investment in the primary and secondary sectors of the economy has been heavy since the Đổi Mới economic policy of the late 1980s. As a high school student, she sat as representative on social committees and the governing student body at her high school in Thống Nhất. She was also a Girl Guide. She is currently (as of 2011) a multimedia design student at RMIT University, Saigon South Campus. [citation needed]

Being the 1st runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2010 pageant, Vũ Hoàng My was selected by Unicorp - the franchise holder - to represent the country in Miss Universe 2011 competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil from 20 August to 12 September 2011.
Miss World 2012
Hoàng My was chosen by Elite Vietnam - the franchise holder - to be the official representative of Vietnam at Miss World 2012 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.
Humanitarian Work and Social Activities
Vũ Hoàng My has been described as a modern woman who seeks to work for positive change in the world. She plans to continue her work with local NGOs, particularly with children living with HIV/AIDS. She is affiliated with various charities, including Tiền Phong Study Encouragement Fund[4] and in endorsing and supporting scholarship funds for underprivileged children through Nguyễn Thượng Hiền secondary school in her hometown, Đồng Nai.[5][6] She worked as a fundraiser for Quảng Bình flood victims in 2010.[7]
