Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Miss World 2010. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Miss World 2010, you will be blocked from editing. (Evidence) Angelo De La Paz (talk) 16:24, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Miss Universe 2011 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A future beauty pageant that will presumably be held in 2011, but whose venue, contestants, etc. cannot yet be know. Fails WP:HAMMER.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Cnilep (talk) 17:42, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Miss Universe 2011, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Miss Universe 2011. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Cnilep (talk) 14:38, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The reason for your nomination of deleting my article "Miss Universe 2011" is unreasonable and ignorant. According to the "Rules of Wikipedia", any articles with provided sources are allowed. Therefore my article "Miss Universe 2011" is NOT to be deleted, because it is backed by reliable INTERNATIONAL sources. Full stop.

Please share this opinion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Miss Universe 2011. You may want to stick to the discussion of Wikipedia policy, rather than characterizing me when you do, however. Thank you and happy editing, Cnilep (talk) 19:29, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:EconomyofSaigon.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 00:13, 11 April 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 00:13, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for informing me those issues. You have to help me, I don´t really know how to do all the stuff above. I can tell you that I got the picture from another Wikipedia site "Ho Chi Minh City". Provide me the right codes or edit it for me, pls. THX

Your addition to Vietnam has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Angelo De La Paz (talk) 01:28, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Tomb of emperor khai dinh.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[1][2]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because images on Wikipedia need to be compatible with the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike or another free license, which allow anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. Note, if you did create this file, you may want to upload it to Wikimedia Commons, which will allow the image to be accessed by all Wikimedia Foundation projects (which include the various localized versions of Wikipedia)

If you did not create this media file, please understand that the vast majority of images found on the internet are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Most content on the internet is copyrighted and the creator of the image has exclusive rights to use it. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others - do not upload images that violate others' copyrights. In certain limited cases, we may be able to use an image under a claim of fair use - if you are certain that fair use would apply here, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list. If no fair use rationale applies, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 05:51, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Miss Universe 2010. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Note that I have also warned Angelo De La Paz. Cnilep (talk) 15:24, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're being discussed at WP:AN3#Slightly stale war between User:Bigb0x and User:Angelo De La Paz. You may respond there if you wish. EdJohnston (talk) 15:55, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have written in the "discussion section" of the mentioned article why I edited it with providing a clear source that backs up my edit.

Miss Universe 2010 has been protected from editing for five days. Talk:Miss Universe 2010 may still be edited. Please remember to seek consensus for any controversial edits before making substantive changes. Thank you, and happy editing. Cnilep (talk) 14:21, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don´t know who keeps editing false informations about Miss Philippines, but please; ban this person.

I have stated(With providing sources) that the representative of the Philippines is NOT Maria Venus Raj anymore, she was dethroned and is still dethroned! Yes, she was given the chance to reclaim it, but only under the condition getting a legal passport. Therefore she is STILL DETHRONED and getting the passport in her case ist not easy as well.

I suggest to ban that person from editing or protect the article "Miss Universe 2010" permanently.

Thank you

A tag has been placed on Miss universe 2011, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article Luu Thi Diem Huong has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. jsfouche ☽☾ talk 17:07, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your reverts here and here, please note that the information came from the source you provided, and such information is included for other beauty contestants as well, e.g. Gillain Berry, Jung So-ra, Deborah Priya Henry.

Since you're active right now, please reply to this message within 30 minutes or I will restore that info you removed. - Yk3 talk · contrib 23:40, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Those measurements are not her latest ones. Check the source that I provided for her height.

I added the updated measurements from the source. It might help next time if you explained your edits in the edit summary. - Yk3 talk · contrib 23:54, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. But I don´t think that it is necessary to write down her measurements right now as they will change for sure in the next 3 months, because she will go through an intensive fitness training for the pageant. Just my opinion.

Miss World 2013

[edit]

If you have an issue with the content of Miss World 2013 — such as the possibility that it's a hoax — then there are procedures that you can follow to have them dealt with, such as nominating the article for our WP:AFD process. Simply blanking the page, however, is not one of them; that is never acceptable on Wikipedia under any circumstances, and you can be temporarily or permanently editblocked for doing it. Follow our proper processes if you have an issue. Bearcat (talk) 00:44, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
