For the case you want to create a new article, please use our article wizard. mabdul 13:46, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
To make this a little more clear the software that runs Wikipedia MediaWiki will not allow the addition of user rights to IP addresses. Mlpearc (powwow) 14:28, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
But IPs (not logged in user) can create articles through the wizard. ;-) mabdul 14:43, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
But according to this request the IP doesn't want to create articles, but edit a semi-protected article. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 14:48, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, the place to send the editor is Wikipedia:Edit requests, which I will now do. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:12, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
My previous account "Schouten117" is no longer accessible due to me being unable to remember the password due to a period of no contribution and my email having been changed during that time meaning I can't recover my password. Because of this, I have had to start a new account which has limited privileges. I would be grateful if my account could be upgraded so that I can better update and correct Wikipedia entries. If possible, the mergeure of Schouten117 into Wriekhathaar would also be appreciated. Wriekhathaar (talk) 08:55, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - Hi, and thank you for creating an account to edit Wikipedia. Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies. The good news is that fewer than 5% of Wikipedia articles are protected; this means that 95% of the articles can use your help right now!. Armbrust, B.Ed. I am a textiles teacher incorporating Ancient Civilisations with my young class. Upon researching the type of uniforms and clothes Ancient Romans wore, I noticed there was no information for this on this site. I would like to add a simple section dedicated to this on your site. Thank you Ktebm (talk) 12:46, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Question: Could you specify from which article you are speaking? Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 12:52, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
 Question: Is the article semi-protected? Electric Catfish 21:21, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I would edit the Ancient Rome article, making dress a part of the 'culture' section. It is a semi-protected article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ktebm (talkcontribs) 23:29, 6 August 2012‎
