SkyTrain article name formatting

Hi there, you've participated in format-related moves of articles about SkyTrain stations such as Oakridge – 41st Avenue Station back in September 2009 [1]. I recently looked through articles for other SkyTrain stations. They currently use both spaced and unspaced forms, and I suggested standardizing on one of the forms. If you have any particular opinion about this, please chime in at Talk:TransLink (British Columbia)#Article naming standards. Thanks!- --user:Qviri 02:24, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Today on March 17 I was checking on The Morning Show (Canadian TV series) I think you delete all the Notable guests I must vary sad about guest host, everyday Monday to Friday we have guest host for one day only...

I my not sure if you saw this show? for you. I watch most time and it's real guest host on on-air. so I was keeping track witch famous people from Canadian and International, include Global Toronto Team was there one day! Here is example again:

Notable guests On-air Day Media
Leslie Roberts October 11, 2011 Global News Team
Regis Philbin December 7, 2011 Daytime Show & Arther Book

Emarsee, This Notable Guest is begin in January 3, 2012 to create (who? User talk:Yalelx) and since I help allot because we want to show which one most famous people. Other example if you miss the live show with Cody Simpson this show? what you do, well you go Wikipedia and check this show and real day when Cody is on-air. Or maybe go to Main Website in The Morning Show on Global Toronto and find details too but with limited history!

So Emarsee, You questions is Really? A list of people who come onto the show isn't encyclopedic) The Answerer is "YES!, because this show with notable guest is only one day on air. Orphaned non-free media (File:Tamil one.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Tamil one.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:06, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Knowledge Network

Hello Emarsee, Noticed you made some changes to Knowledge Network. We at Knowledge Network are very happy to see people interested in our station but as for the Wikipedia page we are working very hard to keep all info to brand and exactly how the wording should be. Unfortunately too many people have been editing the page with wrong information and we ask that you allow us to edit the info exactly how the station needs it to stay on brand and allow for the correct information. If you have any questions please email me at aarona@knowledge.ca

Aaron Alexander — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aaronmalexander (talkcontribs) 17:29, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Are you seriously suggesting that I cannot edit the article because employees at Knowledge Network are busy "improving" the article? Sorry, but Wikipedia doesn't work that way; you should check out WP:COI, WP:NPOV and WP:SOAP. I am allowed to edit the article to the best of my knowledge (no pun intended) and remove any blatantly promotional or incorrect content as I see it. I am also allowed to add information to the article that may be contrary to the liking of management such as controversies related the the station and any sort of negative feedback of the station that have been stated by a reliable source. As an employee of Knowledge Network, you are allowed to edit the article in a neutral and impartial manner, i.e. not editing the article to "exactly how the station needs it to stay on brand". Wikipedia is not meant as a venue for promotion.
At no point in my edits to the Knowledge article have I been introducing false information. I am not the type of person to do such a thing; I value and respect Wikipedia's goals in building a respectable and free encyclopedia. In your edits, you have removed any mention of Knowledge being an educational broadcaster; the removal of the word educational goes against the mandate of the station as stated on your website. /about. In addition, you have removed any mention to the Knowledge Network Corporation as being the owner of the station, but we can see on the footer on the website that the content is copyrighted by the Knowledge Network Corporation.
So in conclusion, I will not cease editing the article as I have a right to do so under Wikipedia policy. I strongly advise you and your coworkers to study Wikipedia's policy to understand where I am coming from/ █ EMARSEE 22:38, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Largest cities by population in the Pacific Northwest LIST CONCERNS

Hello Emarsee. I see your recent addition to the list on the PNW article. This is exactly why I started the discussion on the talk page (Talk:Pacific Northwest#Largest cities by population in the Pacific Northwest LIST CONCERNS). Editors, are always, welcome to edit away. But after I added Bend, OR, I began looking around and saw that this was going to be "messy" as you say. In a region as vast as the PNW, it seems prudent to get some guidelines to place major cities, capitals, and the like, maybe even daughter list articles, if necessary, rather than go on and on with cities getting added with populations of less than 100k. What do you think? Please weigh in on the discussion of at Talk on the PNW page. Regards, Norcalal (talk) 02:46, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:EQD_Logo.png The current picture, with the purple, doesn't look that good, especially when viewed in the infobox on the main article page. The streamlined black-and-white version works much better for the article. dogman15 (talk) 08:32, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'll agree that it doesn't look as good, but given the choice over inaccurate logos (the original I uploaded, or the versions you uploaded), this logo would be a reasonable compromise. Until we find a better logo for EqD, we should stick with this one.  █ EMARSEE 17:09, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How would you suggest that the page be updated to reflect the name change next month? I ask only because attempts to update reflecting the upcoming change have been reverted by you twice, thus negating any information of the impending change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jncorp (talkcontribs) 17:53, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Need non-partisan opinion on edit/revert conflict.

Hello Emarsee,

I see that you are occasionally fixing up and cleaning the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tara_Strong

Recently a non registered editor has been dedicated him/herself to deleting the Popular Culture section on that page. Despite attempts to reason with this user, he/she is adamant about removing this section from the page. As a relatively new editor to Wikipedia I am not sure about the protocols regarding these conflicts. I can of course continue undoing the section blanking by this editor but I don't think that would contribute to Wikipedia as a whole.

Regards dzstoyanov

As far I'm concerned, I believe the anonymous IP's concern are somewhat legitimate. I am well aware of the widespread nature of the "Twilightlicious" meme within the brony fandom, but Wikipedia isn't Know Your Meme. The source you have used does not back up your claim that Twilightlicious stands for "awesome"; there is no mention of the word except in the title of the article. There's no need to create a whole section on how the meme was created nor is there a reason to define it without a reliable source. In my personal opinion, I would be fine with putting a one or two line sentence about the meme into the "Early Life and Career" section, assuming it's reliably sourced. However, this is just my own personal opinion, if you have any other concerns, please take it to Tara Strong's talk page.
On another note, getting Tara Strong's permission on Twitter to put Twilightlicious into her article doesn't actually do anything. Wikipedia's policies of notability and verifiability still apply.  █ EMARSEE 23:01, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello EMARSEE thank you for your input. So far I've removed the section and moved the contents to Early Life and Career so hopefully that solves some of the conflicts. I think it shouldn't hurt to leave the content there for a while longer for some credible source to be added. The EW article may not have specifically stated the meaning of the phrase but I think their awareness of the phrase should not be discredited. Considering the amount of media attention the My Little Pony fandom is drawing, I'm sure there will be a more definitive article on this subject. Dzstoyanov (talk) 00:13, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 28

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Morning News (Canadian morning TV show), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Regina (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Tara Strong Article EW Article Source

Hello EMARSEE, I thought the EW article should stay there since it is meaningful when considering the context in which Twilightlicious is used in the title. It's clearly being used as an adj to describe the BronyCon event which I think justifies leaving it as a source. Just my reasoning, if you disagree then I will leave it be. Granville Island Hotel

Hi Emarsee, the reason I added the External link to the Granville Island Hotel on the Granville Island article is because the Hotel is referenced in the "Granville Island Today" section as "A boutique hotel". I believe this hotel is noteworthy enough for it's own article/link, but I am new to authoring/editing and don't have the authority to do so at this time.

Thank you for your contributions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davegtv (talkcontribs) 21:30, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article for Metrotown neighbourhood

I've been working on a draft for the Metrotown neighbourhood at my sandbox; I'll probably add a few more things, but I think it's almost ready for launch. Do you mind looking over it and letting me know what else I should add or what needs to be fixed? (Or you can just edit my sandbox directly if you want.) I also wanted to get some input with regards to article title. Feel free to involve other users too. Thanks. - Hinto (talk) 18:23, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
