Badnagar (Hindi: बादनगर) is a city, and a municipality in Ujjain district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Badnagar had a population of 30,951. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Badnagar has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 55% of the males and 45% of females literate. 14% of the population is under 6 years of age. It is located 45 km from Ujjain & 72 km from Indore. Badnagar is also the birth place of great Indian poet Kavi Pradeep.
