Help needed

Hi again. In order to make the ability of warning users when CSD tags are placed, it needs a set of templates. Can you help translate the following templates to Chinese:

Best regards, --Tohd8BohaithuGh1 (t·c·r) 09:30, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, I certainly can't remember the logo being changed for any reason and I've been here since 2006 - for a definitive answer, the person you probably want to ask is User:Raul654 though! Black Kite 09:44, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ACC volunteer account

Hi Stifle, I tried to register a volunteer accoutn at ACC but rejected due to lack of experience. If I want to apply again in the future, what should I do? I just realised that once I was rejected, it seems that I cannot summit another registration again? The message of rejection always appears. Thanks a lot. Ben.MQ (talk) 13:44, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can ask me or anyone marked as an admin on this list. Stifle (talk) 14:45, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

possible vandal on sowiki

Please take note of this IP user. After blanking page twice, now he created an article and two talk pages. I can't read the language so please take a look. Thank you.--Ben.MQ (talk) 19:29, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ben.MQ, I've posted this request to Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard#possible_vandal_on_sowiki, so that someone can help. I don't have any sysop/administrator powers on so.wiki, nor can I read the language, so I'm afraid I'm not much help, either. -- Zanimum (talk) 19:39, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A kitten for you!

Interface Designer

Thanks for the help! I did my best, but I was still afraid that what I said would not be useful, so it's good to know that you've started to take action. Nyttend (talk) 13:57, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

About Chinese Wiki

124.244.208.109 (talk) 18:43, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

2011 ArbCom Elections confirmation

Hi, Bencmq, and thanks for the message in my talk page. Yes it was I who voted on Nov 30th, thanks very much for alerting me to this. --Luke Warmwater101 (talk) 14:57, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I was the one who voted. Someone963852 (talk) 15:03, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

CSRFs

I note your edit here. I am a candidate in the current election so cannot provide you with any experiential information; however, I carried out similar scrutineer duties for the WMF-wide image filter referendum earlier this year, so am intimately familiar with the interface you are using. I would like to urge you to speak directly with Tim Starling (or perhaps Happy-melon, who is familiar with the interface and is an election administrator) to consider the impact of the CSRFs and assist you and your colleagues in determining whether or not this affects the votes. Steward requests/SUL requests (:de:User:Jaybear)

Hello Ben.MQ,
thanks for your notice at my D-page :de:User_discussion:Jaybear.
My request:

  • ":de-User:Jaybear" (that's my SUL-username) is trying to usurp meta-wm-account "Jaybear"

I've created the new (temporary) user meta:User:Jaybear-two and then I entered some more infos for you here:
SUL request -> (meta-WM-user:) Jaybear
It would be nice to hear your advice there, please -- or directly asked: What should I do next?
Greetings, Jaybear-two (talk) 10:23, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, Ben.MQ; I've a new notice for you:
My SUL-issue on meta.WM.org has solved to my complete satisfaction ;-)
SUL-login is now automatically handled for me everywhere on all wiki[p|m]edias!
(Wikitanvir has done the last part of this job for me)
Thanks again for your assistance -- Jaybear (talk) 17:42, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First checkusers

Hi, thanks for stopping by to learn about different checkuser systems. So, the default idea is that Checkusers are monitored by their fellow Checkusers. I believe it is a formal rule at Meta that a project must have at least two Checkusers so that one of them will monitor the other Checkuser's use of the tool. It's also a formal rule at Meta that the Ombudsman's Commission will review any allegations that the Checkuser tool was used to violate the privacy policy. The general rule is that on projects with Arbitration Committee, the Checkuser right is granted by the Arbitration Committee and abuse of it is reviewed by the Arbitration Committee. On projects without an Arbitration Committee, the right is granted by a community vote done under rules listed on Meta. I believe the Stewards generally operate as a "backup" review body to review abuses of the Checkuser tool that occur on projects without an Arbitration Committee.

On English Wikipedia, the Arbitration Committee has delegated to AUSC the function of investigating complaints of abuse involving Checkuser. However, the Arbitration Committee still retains the authority to grant and remove the Checkuser right, either on its own initiative or based on an AUSC investigation.

For a project just getting started with Checkuser, I would suggest that the local Arbitration Committee or fellow Checkusers are sufficient to review complaints of abuse. In an abundance of caution, you might create a role account like User:Oversight that sends a complaint to the local Arbitration Committee or the Stewards so that people can report abuses more easily.
