Ghumarwin is a town and a municipal council in Bilaspur district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Ghumarwin had a population of 5720. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Ghumarwin has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 76%. In Ghumarwin, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age. It lies on Shimla-Dharamshala National Highway and is situated on the bank of Seer Khad. Freedom fighter Anant Ram sharma and Param Vir Chakra awardee Sanjay Kumar belonged to Ghumarwin.
