Autopatrolled

(add requestview requests)

User:Ascii002

I mainly create articles about Nepalese politicians (Ministers and cabinet members). I have created about 50 articles and I am requesting for autopatrolled rights. — Ascii002 Let's talk! Contribs 11:25, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Careful review needed here. Almost all of the created articles are stubs, and the first one I clicked that was not a stub, was overly close paraphrasing WP:PARAPHRASE; compare the second paragraph of this with the second paragraph of this. I would like to see some more non-stub content creation to be sure that there will not be potential copyright violations in between the politician-stubs. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:21, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, more just as bad, in a different way, even from the same article; "... it provides the best reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation for children..." unsourced WP:POV (my emphasis) was added by this editor, and only removed by another editor three weeks later. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:03, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, at that time, I was not much famaliar with the Wikipedia guidelines for editing (also creating) the articles. So, I used Afc for its creation (in order to remove non-encyclopedic content). I am mainly creating articles about Nepalese politics and there is no breaking of Wikipedia guidelines. — Ascii002 Let's talk! Contribs 00:44, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. I would like to see a few more flawless new non-stub creations and any outstanding issues addressed. In particlular, a look at WP:WPSCH/AG might also help. This will not impair your ability to create articles, but the 50 article threshold is only a guideline and I believe it would help you for your creations to continue to pass through NPP for a while. I regularly create articles. According to this tool I have created 10,642 articles (I thought I created over 9,500 but hey ho!) Jaguar 15:40, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there! Looks like you definitely meet the criteria for this userright. I see that you had it before but it was removed in 2012. Could you give me a brief discussion on what happened and what you've done to rectify the issue? Cheers, Lord Roem ~ (talk) 16:07, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, yes two years ago I had it removed for creating many unreferenced Chinese township articles (the full ANI discussion is here) and consequently my Autopaatrolled status was removed. I promised not to create any more unreferenced or mass-produced articles and since then my article creations have been limited to local, non-mass produced articles! It has been over two years since I have created anything like that and I will never return to mass-producing articles. Thanks, Jaguar 16:14, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done (not now). You have only created one new article in the last year (which is a redirect now). Please note, I support you being able to regain this permission, and if you come back two weeks after making 50 new articles without issue I will support. If you accept, please link to this discussion, feel free to ping me as well. As you know, this flag is for the benefit of other editors, and will not impact any of your ability to edit or create pages. If any other admin wants to come by and approve this before it gets archived, I won't object to your discretion. — xaosflux Talk 18:37, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
IMO a most appropriate admin closure. Passing through NPP (if the patrollers are doing their work) will also provide more help and advice. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:35, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I agree. I'll try and create 50 articles this month and will submit myself for another request! Jaguar 11:20, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've been making a few pages in recent weeks relevant to this year's auto racing, and as autumn comes around, I plan on making several more for other goings-on in multiple areas of entertainment that are relevant, just as I did toward the end of 2013 and beginning of 2014. Having Autopatrol would be useful for myself for that, and I believe I can also help with seeing the new pages of recently-created articles of other users. Please allow me Autopatrol. And if not, let me know what I can do to qualify for it. Thank you. Johnsmith2116 (talk) 05:30, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Done. I'll just point out however that Autopatroller is not a user 'righht' per se, and won't actually help you. It's more for alleviating the work of patrollers. If you would like to help, your assistance at New Page Patrolling would be most welcome, especially as you know the things to look for. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:33, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Active since early 2005 and thought it's about time i request to become autopatrolled. I don't start that many new articles, but I've never engaged in problematic page creation either (to the best of my knowledge). Peter Isotalo 00:34, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
 Done. — xaosflux Talk 01:03, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
