Early comments

The originator of the page obviosly has a bias against the elimination of Boys from the show Any Dream will do.

Fact: he did gain the least number of votes his final week of the show.

Per WP:EL, the external links in the article should be to authoritative or official sites or those directly relevant to the topic. See specifically this section. Anything other ("Friendliest Daniel Boys Forum", for example) is considered linkspam. Dafyd 15:26, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tone

Enthusiasm for Boys' achievements ruins the readability of this article. His accomplishments would appear in a better light if his appearances were restricted to the truly notable and if the language used was more neutral and restrained, more encyclopaedic. I agree. It sounds like Troy McClure wrote this article. "Hi I'm Daniel Boys, you might remember me from Doug in the workshop of The Trouble with Doug (Northampton Royal & Derngate); Jason in Ordinary Days (Trafalgar Studios); Christian in the London Premiere of "Wolfboy" (Trafalgar Studios); Eddie in the workshop of Painted Lady: The Princess Caraboo Scandal (Bristol Old Vic/Finborough); Princeton/Rod in "Avenue Q" (Gielgud/Noel Coward – Winner of 2009 Theatregoers Choice Award for Best Takeover in a Role); Austin in I Love You Because (Landor); Anthony in "Sweeney Todd" (Royal Festival Hall); Mark in Rent (European Tour) and Parson Nathanial (u/s) in "Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds" (National Tour)..."
Anyways, I worked a little on removing some 'words to avoid' but the there is still way too much insignificant info here that could probably be removed. Comatmebro (talk) 06:56, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

THIS PAGE SHOULD BE SCHEDULED FOR DELETION

1. Boys is known for being on a 2007 talent show. 5 years on. Which he was only of the last 5 and not the winner. Only the Winner and the SHOW ITSELF should be NOTABLE not each contestant. 2. Has not recorded any music in last 3 years. 3. We could find HUNDREDS of theatre performers who are on par with boys & he has a page dedicated to him and they don't. 4. The page is far too biased. Its not impartial at all. 5. The tone is all wrong. This is a fan page not a Wikipedia page!!!

I have nothing against him myself but surely we should spend less time making pages for moderately talented people and concentrate on things of value — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.158.7.143 (talk) 18:31, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Should be deleted,

Look at the levels of the page. Start level, start level, etc/. How long has this page been here taking up space? Daniel has sunk into obscurity VinDibs (talk) 14:58, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If the cast of the 'dreadful' Towie (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Only_Way_Is_Essex) are notable - so is Daniel. Who at least has a talent. Note - every page on wiki is at some stage a FAN page. As each page is written by an author interested in that subject - hence Train fans - train articles, TV fans - articles on actors etc....! So Not for deletion, unless thousands and thousands of other pages would also be deleted.DavidAnstiss (talk) 19:56, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed to deletion

As one of the original contributors to this page I agree it should be deleted. It has become a page for fandom. Poor quality. Delete it and if someone thinks its important enough, get them to redraft it from scratch no impartiality here Del2011 (talk) 15:03, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you believe it should be deleted, then the proper process to do it through is AfD. You can read the steps and guidelines in that link to get it started. Comatmebro ~Come at me~ 06:13, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Neighbours theme

Boys entered the competition to become the new singer of the Neighbours theme tune and won the UK vote - [1]. - JuneGloom Talk 19:27, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Will add note to page Thank you.DavidAnstiss (talk) 19:58, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Move to delete page on grounds on non notability

This is just a fanboy page of a relatively unknown stage actor and I move that it be deleted. My reasons are thus:

  • Has never been in a television series where he has acted.
  • Has never been in a film where he is credited as an actor.
  • Has released one self funded album. Is not on a Major record label.
  • Has released no singles to date. Had no chart success.
  • He came 5th on Any Dream Will Do. He was not the winner, runner up or third place.
  • Show he was in 'Any Dream Will Do' was 7 years ago.
  • Contestants that come fifth in say Pop Idol, X Factor DO NOT HAVE Wiki pages.
  • Has been a stand in or understudy for a major stage production, does not mean he is a leading actor.
  • Just because he happens to be gay, it is no reason to include him 'just because'
  • Is not a particularly good singer or actor for that matter.

It does not meet the criterion set out in the Notability guidelines of Wiki. If anyone disagrees please can you go check them out then come back and explain how you can justify his inclusion.
