As it is still missing from the following list of international agencies and organizations working to monitor food safety and quality, we feel the European Food Information Council should be added. Please find in capitals our proposed modify:

Food safety and food security are monitored by agencies like the International Association for Food Protection, World Resources Institute, World Food Programme, Food and Agriculture Organization, International Food Information Council AND EUROPEAN FOOD INFORMATION COUNCIL . They address issues such as sustainability, biological diversity, climate change, nutritional economics, population growth, water supply, and access to food.

Not done: You need to provide evidence that the organization is notable. Also, you have a blatant WP:COI and your username is a violation of our username policy. Jackmcbarn (talk) 16:42, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Severely Lacking Data

This article provides little to no information regarding biology, of which is the sole purpose of food. There is no digestion section, no nutritional needs section, no food chain/web section, etc. The biggest issue of all is that there is absolutely NO data which very precisely defines how food relates to biology on the atomic level. How the food behaves in the body once in the bloodstream and what it does to cells. The food article says, "The substance is ingested by an organism and assimilated by the organism's cells to provide energy, maintain life, or stimulate growth." The phrase "assimilated by the organism's cells" is vague and broad enough to have an article of its own. Are we what we eat? That's what the phrase sounds like. But I can't be sure, because it didn't make much sense. Hopefully some article you make can explicitly answer this fundamental question once and for all.[1][2]
