Welcome

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 152.163.100.72). Logging in does not require any personal details. There are many other benefits for logging in to Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can type {{helpme}} on this page and an experienced Wikipedian will be around to answer any questions you may have.

Please note these points:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, ask me on my Talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. Antonrojo 19:54, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was not vandalizing. I should be free to put down comments about Joel. That's why you have the discussion page for him. I said he's gay and people misinterpret it for vandalizing.

No, the discussion page is for discussing article contributions and improving the article according to Wikipedia policies and guidelines. --Viriditas 11:03, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Muhammad's marriages

You have reverted twice to YOUR version. Please stop. You are giving no references to support your claim that Maria was a virgin. There is no reference to her virginity in Ibn Ishaq or Tabari. In both books, she is described as a "slave girl". She may have been victimized by a string of owners for all we know. Zora 06:40, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2006-07-23 01:24:44 152.163.100.72:

I will try to keep my articles serious if you try to MIND YOUR OWN BUSSINESS. I havent written anything here in quite some time, and have enjoyed watching this form grow, and learn from others, but it seems like some HUGE JERKOFF always wants to go and belittle me, irregardless. There simply is no reasom to be hateful like that. What article are you referring to? Most of my posts have been exceptoinal, earning me many a barn star award. I noticed you havent got that many, so Im gonna go ahead and give you one of mine as a peace offering, but in the future try not to belittle me as I have been tutoring to become an ADMINISTRATOR!!!

I assume that you are Pickelbarrel. If I am wrong, I apologize.

“I will try to keep my articles serious if you try to MIND YOUR OWN BUSSINESS.”

Sorry, but a user on Sho.Com [1] called Jaker claims to be you and vandalize WikiPedia.Org. If Jaker is not you, you should complain to Sho.Com about Jaker impersonating you and get Jaker banned from Sho.Com.

“I havent written anything here in quite some time, and have enjoyed watching this form grow, and learn from others, but it seems like some HUGE JERKOFF always wants to go and belittle me, irregardless.”

I am sorry if that is the impression I gave.

“There simply is no reasom to be hateful like that.”

Again, I apologize.

“What article are you referring to?”

This is what Jaker said he did:

re: Global Warming

I dont know that most vandals get deleted in less than five minuites...I added some fake shit myself about Ben Folds lyp syning after he encourages us to post shit on the web about it during one of his concerts, and added a bit about Kris Roe from The Ataries coming back and screeming “Fuck The Space Shuttle” after playing with the Severe and Profound (An inside joke between him and I) that lasted about a week.

Jimbo has made weird rules about all kinds of shit, although Im not sure about deciding on specific revisions, and the main editors quarrel about the rules constanly.

I created a user based on the chatracter Timothy Dexler(aguy considered to be the most lucky man in the world regardless of the fact that he is a notoriously bad speller, and dumb as toast) call pickelbarrel that added shit to wikipedia all the time, and have seen first hand the way editors will change the rules base entirely on their whims, and weather or not they like you.

I would add good posts, and relevent links and have some editors immediately take them down, while other editors would fight for me claiming I was adding legitimate articles. Thing is, neither side base dit the actual article, they based it on weather they liked me, or thought the article should even be in wikipedia.

The whole reason i started screwing with the system, was to put in a entry for one of my freinds bands, but then I realized that that they didnt have an entry for taint(slang) and I decided to add one, what followed was one of the most heated battles Ive ever witnessed over the validity of allowing “taint” in wikipedia. The whole thing was histerical, but I learned alot about the folley that goes on in wikipedia...including some disputes editors had with the esteemed Jimbo.

I never reall took the stuff personally, because who cares, but Ill tell you what, you can see rules being bent and changed all over the place in that mad house. Giving all the examples would take too much time, but I remeber a debate over weather a link should be added to Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds on the Guns -N- Roses website. The argument against it was that his band wasnt relevent to G-N-R but they had links to LA Gunns, Slashes Snake Pitt, and Velvet Revolver. The entries weere definately NOT from a neutral POV, as they assume that Izzy isnt as important member as Slash.

Now that alone wouldnt be a problem, but the whole site is riddled with this kind of shit, and editors who dont want their articles changed (one editor was furious with people who kept going to his beloved “dingleberry” site and adding references to clumps of stuff that hangs from peoples ass)

Now all that being said, wikipedia isnt a bad source, but again it just isnt reliable. Go in and add something to an article that is partially true, but not completely. If its not some article that one of these editors gaurds, you will find out just how long it lasts. Im not paticualrily clever and if MY completely nonscensical articles can stay up for over a week, then Ill bet there are plenty others that have lasted longer.

As I say, most of the articles are good, many are incomplet, some are bad, and a few are completely wrong.

As long as you realize this going in, your fine. It is certainly helpful in finding info about certain subjects, jsut dont rely on it to validate your facts.

“Most of my posts have been exceptoinal, earning me many a barn star award.”

That is great.

“I noticed you havent got that many, so Im gonna go ahead and give you one of mine as a peace offering,”

¡Thanks! It is very nice, but I am not into penispictures.

“but in the future try not to belittle me as I have been tutoring to become an ADMINISTRATOR!!!”

I hope you do well.
