Name Pronunciation
The bit at the beginning about the proper pronunciation of her first name should note that she does not pronounce it that way and calls herself Catrina, along with everyone else. eday2010 09:31 28 November 2012
Untitled
I know that as a rule family names beginning with Le are written as in LeWhatever, but in this case some newswires seem to think it's Le May rather than LeMay. Does anyone have an authoritative answer? Mkweise 15:39 23 May 2003 (UTC)
The Catriona Le May Doan official site spells it with a space. I'll move it. - Montréalais
- I've moved it back. The official site seems to use both spellings as well, but LeMay is by far the most common one, and used in all results and newspaper articles on speed skating (I'm a speed skating fan). Jeronimo
- But her autobiography book is very clearly & consistently typesetting her name as Catriona Le May Doan. (But then the book misspells various other names ...) Slavatrudu 22:20, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Shouldn't it be Catriona Le May-Doan ? Meaning she is married to a guy named Doan instead of having a double name?Dirk P Broer (talk) 11:16, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Two Items- Achievements and Broadcasting
The first is I added a list of achievements she has accomplished. I went in chronological order.
The second thing is that I don't remember her broadcasting or interviewing anyone at the 2004 Greece Olympics. She did broadcast short and long track speed skating at the 2006 Olympics in Italy. fishhead2100 April 30, 2006 11:39PM (UTC)
Images
I think that the better image for the infobox profile is the one that is closer so we can see her face. The long shot of her with the torch is better in the body of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Qubers (talk • contribs) 17:45, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, but you're wrong- the infobox image is supposed to be the more notable image, which is clearly the torch image. Also, the singing image is shorter, which makes it easier to fit into the body. Courcelles 17:50, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
