Siya Ke Ram is an Indian mythological TV series on Star Plus directed by Nikhil Sinha under the banner of Triangle Films.[1]: 9 The show features Ashish Sharma and Madirakshi Mundle playing as Lord Rama and Sita.[1]: 6 The show premiered on 16 November 2015.[1]: 2
The series will showcase the story of Rama and Sita. The main plot is taken from the Hindu epic Ramayana which has been written by Valmiki and will highlight the story through Sita's eyes.[2]
Plot
Janak is the childless King of Mithila. While Mithila has suffered drought for 12 years, elsewhere Ram and his brothers are under tutelage of Guru Vashist. Janak builds a golden sickle and unearths a baby girl as he begins to plough. The baby's first cry leads to rainfall. Janak wants to find out whether or not the baby has a family. He is shocked to see baby lift the Shiv Dhanush. Rishi Yagyavalkya suggests to keep the baby and Janak names her Sita.
