Rochelle Rao (born 25 November 1988) is an Indian model and anchor. She was crowned Femina Miss India International in 2012.She also took part in Kingfisher Calendar 2014 contest and got selected among the final 12 girls. She bagged the February 2014 page of this prestigious bikini calendar.[3][4]
Rochelle Rao rose to prominence while presenting a televised show called Extra Innings, a post match analysis of Indian Premier League 2013 – season 6 in April–May 2013. She later participated in season 5 of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Darr Ka Blockbuster, the Indian version of the popular show Fear Factor. She was also seen in Life Mein Ek Baar, an adventurous travel show, on Fox Life. At present, she is a contestant in the all-time famous TV Reality Show in India, Big Boss – season 9
Early life and career

She won the Femina Miss India International 2012 [5] crown. Prior to this she was a model and anchor in Chennai. Rochelle was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Ankita Shorey.
She later turned host for season six of the Indian Premier League.[6] Currently living in Mumbai, she has anchored various events and TV shows. She has also featured in many men's magazines.[7][8]
She took part in Kingfisher Calendar 2014 contest (held in late 2013) and got selected among the final 12 girls. She bagged the February 2014 page of this prestigious bikini calendar.[3][4]
She was also seen in season 5 of the show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2014. She happened to be the second contestant to be eliminated from the show that was hosted by Rohit Shetty. Rochelle Rao’s immediate family consists of twin brother Noel Rohn Rao (late) and Fritz David Rao, sister Paloma Rao, father Dr Nicolas V Rao (Telugu and German Descent ) and mother Wendy Rao ( Anglo-Indian ).
Her father Dr N V Rao is an advocate of natural healing and a medical consultant on herbal extracts. He is also a keen photographer who has taught photography at Chennai University. Her mother Wendy Rao is a great supporter of her daughter. She seems to be Rochelle’s unofficial biographer, ensuring that photos of Rochelle’s modeling shows are well documented. Her brother Noel Rohn Rao was a Squad Leader in the United States Maintenance Platoon, Delta Company, 3d Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment. During his 5 years of service, Noel received 11 medals from the US Armed forces. Noel Rao was the first foreign person to become a United States citizen under a new military rule. Noel did multiple tours of duty in Afghanistan where he was recognized as soldier of the month, soldier of the quarter and soldier of the year by the US Army. Noel died in service on 27 March 2006 and he is survived by his wife Laura, son Brandon and daughter Mia. Rochelle’s 37-year-old brother, David, is Noel’s twin. For many years he lived abroad, but now lives with his family in Tamil Nadu. He is married to Karina and has a young daughter called Nicole.
Her sister Paloma Rao is a well known Chennai based TV video jockey, actor, host. Before Rochelle got into modeling and the Miss India contest, Paloma was better known in the press than her sister. Rochelle mentions her sister as her mentor and inspiration, she has been quoted saying that her sister is also her greatest adviser and support. It is her sister who taught her how to model and anchor and supported her when she entered the Femina Miss India Pageant. The two sisters are close friends and a well loved pair in Chennai. She is the partner of Keith Sequeira, who has recently worked on the movie Calendar Girls (2015 film).
Femina Miss India
Rochelle Rao competed in the fifth Pantaloons Femina Miss India South pageant in January 2012 where she was first runner up. She lost the title to Shamata Anchan.[9] She later participated at Femina Miss India and emerged as the Femina Miss India International 2012 winner. She has also won three subtitles. "Miss Glamorous Diva", "Miss Ramp Walk", "Miss Body Beautiful". She represented India at Miss International 2012 pageant held in October 2012 (Okinawa, Japan) where she ranked 9th out of 68 Countries.[10]

Rochelle Rao is currently participating in Bigg Boss 9:Double trouble along with her boyfriend Keith. The show is airing on Colors Channel from 11 October 2015.
