Hello Jim, I am Luqman. I just edited the introductory content of Kanthapuram A.P Aboobacker Musliyar article but you replaced it. I edited it because some of the data were not updated and disorder. I wanted to give a nice structure to the essay adding adequate and relevant links. but i still don't understand why did you remove it.

    my edit

Thanks for the welcome! But no, I don't feel welcome in fact, because two dudes immediately started threatening me when I joined. It's my personal goal to edit things which have anti-woman content in order to correct the historical record. I am a historian. It does history no favors to have the Bernie Bros painted as victims when they harassed thousands of women with demeaning comments. That isn't biased. It's factual. The word misogyny belongs there. Eclune (talk) 22:05, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    civil

Is it civil to threaten me with vandalism? Please let me know the bro got the same message. Eclune (talk) 22:07, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Eclune: For adding unsourced defamatory content to a wp:BLP, it would be considered quite acceptable. There is lots of wp:vandalism on Wikipedia. Unfortunately we wp:RCPers don't have enough time to spend time with attempting helping individuals. So, they get wp:templated. Please reply on your talk page. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 22:16, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    the bernie page

Well actually-the word "perjorative" is unsourced too. That isn't considered inflammatory language but misogynistic-- an accurate term which better explains why they GOT a perjorative nickname -- is out of bounds? The paragraph is misleading and inaccurate: to describe the bros as "intense" when they routinely told women on the internet that they should be raped and murdered and left to die, called them cunts and bitches and whores because they were VOTING FOR ANOTHER CANDIDATE is exactly what misogyny IS. You are perpetuating it. Congratulations. Have a nice day. Eclune (talk) 22:34, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Stagg Chili redirected to Hormel

There is a notice that Stagg Chili should merge into Hormel. Even more so, the article on here was just too short and not so vague (the article on the Hormel website has a lot more vagueness of it), it should really merge or be deleted. Before this ever gets removed, it better be redirected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.6.187.239 (talk) 23:22, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As you did not mention with an wp:edit summary as to why you removed it, I restored it. Please feel free to redirect it again, preferably with an edit summary. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 02:08, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Is or was?

So technically it's "is an amendment". But that's very misleading considering that it's 154 years old, and not likely to get ratified (well, it wasn't before the 11/8 disaster, anyway). So I suggest using past tense, with an explanation that it is still (technically) pending ratification. BMJ-pdx (talk) 15:40, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Re. EHR = MAMA

What if: electron hole recombination is basically the same as matter-antimatter annihilation? Specifically the way electron holes behave as slower than electrons and more massive suggests that the same physics might apply? If so then I may just have proved by analogy that the hypothesis about antimatter being time reversed matter circa 1949 by Feynman is essentially correct.

Am working on a paper right now which outlines my hypothesis and could be a quantum leap towards a theory of everything. Also by extension this allows for antigravity to be generated on the desktop! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.3.100.46 (talk) 05:43, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    re: Difference feminism

Jim, I am confused as to why you said that I did not "explain fully enough" why I made the changes I made. I left extensive explanation. Unless you have substantive problems with my reasoning there, I would appreciate if you would restore my edit. Menthesanscafeine (talk) 10:43, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Menthesanscafeine: You removed 1,600+ bytes of text without any explanation in the wp:edit summary. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 18:09, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
the wikipedia guidelines state that if there is not enough room in an edit summary to explain the edit, the user may do so in the talk section. That is what I did. I should have left an edit summary, and I apologize for that, but it was a mistake—however, the fact remains that the edits I made are needed and adding to the quality of the article. The relevant question is do you actually have a problem with the CONTENTS of my edit? If not, you need to restore it, or I will.Menthesanscafeine (talk) 23:14, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Menthesanscafeine: Then please add "See talk page" on the ES. Perhaps a overly simple explanation in the ES as well. People are unlikely to scan the talk page for every unexplained edit. Thanks Jim1138 (talk) 00:12, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    re: Liquid rocket propellant

Hi Jim, I just saw your comment with regard to my edit of Liquid rocket propellant. The section I removed was a word-for-word repetition of the section that appeared directly above it and was pretty clearly a mistaken insertion which should be removed. I'll try to be more explicit with edit summaries in the future. Could you re-review it and consider undoing your reversion? Or otherwise guide me on appropriate action here. Re: The "Jim" problem in Wikipedia(?)

"Hello Jim I added a link to one of the non-believer's webpages ... a "Stella Star Lore" woman who lives on the Tweed Volcano area of NSW, on the coast up near the Queensland Border.

    She has masses of stuff.

You then re-deleted saying that was not a reliable source.

Well then how do you suggest adding to Wikipedia that not all Australian Aborigines (or others) believe in the Out of Africa theory.

I myself am an orthodox science believer and I do believe in out of Africa theory and that we arise by evolution and NOT by any form of special creation .. and also I do not believe we in any way came from any form of star people or aliens.

Yet some do believe all those alternative things and do think Australian Aborigines arose in Australia and not in Africa or anywhere else.

Even though I do not agree with them I also think it should not be censored out of existence on Wikipedia the fact that some Australian Aborigines or others do hold such "odd" or "nutty" beliefs.

But if links to anything they say will always be erased because they are stated to be "unreliable sources" -- and then linkless articles will be deleted because they have no citations the whole thing becomes Catch 22.

    What is the work-around, please?

    Regards, John (Geologist)

    58.173.27.252 (talk) 10:10, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If everyone's "alternate theory" where their people came from were to be added to this page, there would be no room for the topic. There has to be thousands versions or more. Perhaps it should go on creationism, one of these pages: Category:Creation myths or its own page? It is not the topic of Out of Africa I and I don't think it belongs there. If you disagree, please feel free to start a discussion on talk:Out of Africa I

@Subuey: The RS gives Jacob Barnett was born in 1998. By that, what can be said is that he is either 18 or 19. If you have RS for a valid birthdate, please change it. Jim1138 (talk) 03:24, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The RS also mentions the date. Subuey (talk) 01:37, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is just the latest in a long series of IP's that have been changing Miller from neighborhood to community. I grew up in that area and ever since the 60s, it has been a local sentiment that Miller and Aetna are not actually a part of Gary. I'm sure these edits today are just a further part of that. This has been going on for the entirety of the 5 years I've been here and I'm pretty sure there is just one human behind it. It spread to Aetna just today, with the content being rearranged to put greater emphasis on the neighborhood's ancient history as an independent town. Can't help but think this relates to the fact that Miller and Aetna are the only two majority white neighborhoods in Gary, as all of Gary's neighborhoods (excepting downtown and the central district) were at one time independent towns. None of the IP'S have engaged and there is an open discussion on Miller's talk page. If memory serves me, you have a few more buttons to push than I. Please don't hesitate to use them and thanks for the eyes on it. John from Idegon (talk) 07:09, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My Recent WTOG Edits Were Of Good Intention But Incorrectly-Executed

Yes, I most assuredly made mistakes in my attempts at editing the WTOG article. I wanted to cite proof (from the RabbitEars.info links) that WTOG now provides a full-market simulcast of Telemundo-affiliated WRMD-CD as a third sub-channel (and also cite the RabbitEars.info links to the two translators too) but must have made a syntax error of some kind that wiped out a significant amount of information within the article. As I frantically scrambled to correct the matter, you must have beat me to it and fixed the error yourself, erasing my notation of the third sub-channel simulcast of WRMD-CD on WTOG-DT3. When I attempted to submit my correction changes, Wikipedia wouldn't let me so when I reloaded the article on a new tab, I noticed the article had been reverted back and I had a message from you. I finally found a way to adequately-cite the existence of WTOG-DT3, as well as providing the RabbitEars.info links for the two translator stations.64.39.94.248 (talk) 01:25, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Starnexus (talk) 06:23, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Starnexus: Well, several of the categories on wp:What Wikipedia is not apply: Not a means of promotion, Not a repository of links, Not a directory, Not a networking service, etc. It's best for people to use a search engine and find it on their own. If some were allowed on, probably everyone would want free publicity. On Wikipedia, such links fall under the general category of spam. It is a rather constant battle to keep spam links down to a minimum. They do leak through sometimes and are removed sooner or later. If a spam website gets added enough, it is added to the wp:spam blacklist which makes prevents linking unless specifically approved. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 08:22, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Ryan Braun Civil Lawsuit

    Jim,

HoustonRed here. You wrote me a message in December, I just saw that you agreed that the civil lawsuit section on the Ryan Braun page did not contribute to the overall content of the article, and you stated that you would leave its disposition to me. Accordingly, I will remove the civil lawsuit section. I have attempted, through time and some more mature consideration, to find some relevance between the civil lawsuit section and the entire page as a whole. Try as I may, when reviewing the article in its entirety, combined with the substance of the civil lawsuit section, I am having great difficulty delineating precisely how the lawsuit section even is relevant to Braun himself or would provide a reader with greater insight into Braun as a person or a professional. As an observer of the "newsworthiness" of the civil lawsuit saga, I was inclined to provide contribution to the page in that regard, but upon further review, as well as your input on the issue, I find that the section has taken on a life of its own and discusses ancillary or collateral matters which are not really contributing to Braun's wikipedia page. As such, I will remove it. If there are any problems or objections, please give me a shout.

    Reuben sandwich

A message from you just popped up on Wikipedia when I opened it. In it you claim I made an inappropriate edit to the Reuben sandwich page.

I'm not a Wikipedia editor, nor does anyone use this computer besides me. I do believe you were somehow mistaken. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:387:4:803:0:0:0:A3 (talk) 16:34, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(Left on their talk page as well, just in case they are moving between IPs): Internet service providers assign IP addresses to their customers, and some of these are temporary. These are called dynamic IPs. Usually, this is why some people get messages about other people's edits. However, your IP address is static, which means that it is the IP address that you used last month. Someone using this IP address did make an inappropriate edit last month. It is still possible that someone is connecting to your wifi without you knowing it, but we can't really distinguish between anonymous users, just their IP addresses (see WP:BROTHER for more information).

    Aishwarya Rai

Hey Jim, I just got your message. Whatever I changed in the article of Aishwarya Rai, I did with a reason that I gave too. And I didn't removed the reference, I just placed it in a better place. If you have any problem with me then message me, I'll clearly understand it. And I am not use of getting blackmail. So, never tried to blackmail me with the messages that you'll "Block" me. Thank you. Many Words (talk) 09:02, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Many Words: You removed the reference here with an edit summary of Improvised; the reference doesn't look nice in the info-box... That does not justify the removal. I would recommend that you state that you are moving a reference, not what you did. Yes, you replaced it, but I had reverted and warned you before you replaced it. It appears that the warning level is too high for some reason. You got a "final warning" where it should have been an initial warning. My apology on this. BTW: it's not "blackmail", it is an administrative warning. An wp:administrator would make the decision whether or not to block you. I am not an administrator. Jim, I use wikipedia on mobile, and I recieved you msg after I had replaced it. I am sorry If I caused problem to you. And I didn't understand about this "You got a "final warning" where it should have been an initial warning" Many Words (talk) 09:33, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Many Words: You received this template: {{uw-delete4}} where you should have gotten a {{uw-delete1}}. Not a problem. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 09:37, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Edit to Mukundakam Sharma

    Hi Jim,

I am working as the legal assistant to Justice Mukundakam Sharma, whose page I recently edited. Kindly revert the page to the changes that I made as I prepared the content as per his instructions.

This editor needs to blocked. This person's unsourced claims which appear to be self claims need to stop. This person's latest annoyance is at 2017 Philippines Football League... yet again. 180.190.54.17 (talk) 16:02, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    "Pending revisions" dialog

Regarding Windows 10... I tried first to reject the IP's pending revisions. But in the "pending revisions" dialog I was not offered a "reject" button, only "accept". Any idea why that might be? Jeh (talk) 07:04, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jeh: Perhaps because the IP had self-reverted? Never seen that sort of thing myself. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 07:06, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    I think I'll test it. Jeh (talk) 07:24, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    White-naped Tit

Dear Jim. Hope you are doing well.

Its my first day at Wikipedia and I am learning my edits. I am really sorry as I removed content unknowingly. Hope you understand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dhaval Vargiya (talkcontribs) 07:32, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Sorry to bother you -

I'm sorry to trouble you, but I see that you've reverted some malicious edits on this page before, so maybe you can help with what's happening now: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Stroehlein

The user making the edits is named "AlenaNemocova" but a mouseover shows this user "does not exist". How is that possible?
