DYK for Shamma Al Mazrui
On 5 January 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Shamma Al Mazrui, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that on her appointment in February 2016, 22-year-old Shamma Al Mazrui became the youngest government minister in the world? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Shamma Al Mazrui. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Shamma Al Mazrui), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi Melcous,
I'm new to Wikipedia, got your talk message about my client Gavin McClurg. I created his page yesterday (I'm his athlete agent) basically copying and pasting from other professional athletes and thought I had it pretty well laid out, but if I have done anything wrong please let me know and I will immediately correct. Thank you!Cloudbase Mayhem (talk) 04:44, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi Melcous,
Thank you for your comments and advice. I am not being paid to develop Gavin's wikipedia page, so I think that is ok, but for sure there is a conflict of interest as defined in the article you sent as I know him personally and am basically a fan and am helping him with his career. I don't understand I can add correct "sources" to the films? The films are online, and for example the National Geographic and Banff Mountain Film festival films- aren't those entities the sources I should credit? If you take a look at Alex Honnolds page, a famous climber, he has films with links just as I had and these seem ok? Could you tell me how I can fix these or should I just add these concerns to Gavin's talk page and let someone else do it?
Thank you for your help!

Thanks for ur edit. But I feel very confused that my edit "Sun Yang's fingerprint" in Personal Life of Sun's Page was cancelled by your opinion. Why?

Hi Melcous, thank you for the notes that I read very carefully. Request of username is on its way. Your second point: I have always been aware of the problem concerning "advertising and promotion" and “conflict of interest”, and I can see only one point in my last entry on wikipedia that you may referred to with your blocking. But first of all: yes, I was writing about a topic that I am involved in, but I did not set up a new irrelevant page and I didn't make any assessments at all. My intention was to correct a mistake, that is quite obvious, if you are familiar with the subject. I added a Weblink to the gmp-company’s website as a source[1], that was a mistake. But you find just the same information on the website of the football club[2], which should be a reliable third-party source (I missed to add that). You may find that there are some more bad mistakes on that page as it is now (such as external weblink in the running text). If I didn't get the reason for you intervention right, I would be glad to hear from you. Thanks a lot and best regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Terere-gb77 (talk • contribs) 12:37, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

Question
Hey, i saw you revert the changes in the SSD page due to not having a reference. If i add the following references do you think it would be fine to keep? or do you think the article is better without the price per GB? Either way is fine i just thought having the price might be easier than searching for it for some people or something informative to have.
These are the sources i looked at as well my own research based on trends on sites:

Valerie Rose Bio Page
Hello Melcous,
Thank you for your talk message regarding the bio page for Ms. Valerie Rose. Yes, I do know Ms. Rose and I am a big fan of her work. It came to my attention that Wikipedia blocked her from editing and stopped her from submitting her own photos to Commons. Why did you do that? Please advise as to how she can include common copyright free photos of herself especially when photos of nature and other photos have been posted without issue. After learning this, I subsequently decided to pen a piece for her myself. Then the commons photo that I added of her was deleted and my contribution was questioned. As such, I invite you or someone neutral to write the piece.
I will attest that Ms. Rose does in fact pass the subjective Wikipedia notoriety litmus test. The work that she has written books, produced movies, and a host of other accomplishments. This, as attested to by the link at the bottom that she forwarded to me, which is also found at the bottom of the Entertainment tab on her RosesAreREADUSA.com website. Not to mention the IMDB page that is out there ... not everyone has one of those. As well, both she and I had included inline numbered citations, which were changed to bullet points.

Valerie Rose Bio Page
Hello Melcous,
Thank you for your response to my message and restoring the image. As I am discouraged from editing, I invited a neutral party to pen the page for Ms. Rose. As such, I also included in my previous message a link with publicity: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wh11za938wtjzir/AAB3PyJERiLL4TEy-J0fmWfBa?dl=0 from Ms. Rose's website. As well, you did not address how images could be added. Ms. Rose is the owner of the copyright for her images. She is blocked. Does this mean that she can never add images to common? I would add them for her, but Wikipedia asks for copyright ownership verification of the person uploading.
I noticed some typos in the piece that were not in the original submission. Am I allowed to correct those or must those too go to a neutral party? What is the status of the page? Is it still marked for deletion? Please advise.
Thank you in advance for your help in this matter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beckylunderlund (talk • contribs) 22:53, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
Deletion of Ü Party page linked to Music of Connecticut Article
Dear Melcous,
Yesterday I created an article for The Ü Party. The Ü Party has been included in the Music of Connecticut article for many years alongside other significant venues and artists. I did not edit the Music of Connecticut article to include The Ü Party, but rather, created a link for it and the corresponding Ü Party article. The fact that The Ü Party was mentioned in the Music of CT article, is part testament to its significance to the state of Connecticut. If there are additional links, sources and names needed in order to prove The Ü Party's significance, I will gladly provide them in a revised version of the article. I will also need access to the article I created because, like a true noob, I failed to save my draft. Please help me make this work for Wikipedia. The Ü Party was something special and had a small, albeit relevant impact on Connecticut's music and arts scene.
Sincerely,

Hello Melcous, I am new to wikipedia, as too are some of the other people who have encountered you (I read below). I do appreciate that you are trying to make sure wikipedia pages are verifiable and unbiased, however it is very rude to delete the work I put into a page. Instead of asking me to add references, you could just do a little thing called a google search, and see that the facts I have included are in fact true. If you want references so badly, add them yourself. My job is to credit those who have worked on certain projects, and add my knowledge where possible. The way you approach editing other people's pages, and contacting them is quite rude. Instead of just linking me to a wikipedia page, explain to me, help me out. I have only been working on wikipedia for two days. I am doing this not to be mean or nasty, just to let you know that you have done it to other people, and you could just edit pages, which would take less time than deleting our work and messaging us to fix it without being clear on why or how. Kind regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sisterhoodofthetravellingpants (talk • contribs) 09:28, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

New Page Review - newsletter No.2
- A HUGE backlog
We now have 816 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.
The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.
- Second set of eyes
Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.
- Abuse
This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and
- this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
- this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
- This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.
Coordinator election
Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

Hi Melcous- you had written me on my page regarding a potential conflict of interest on the [Dallas Accord] page. I need your assistance if you could- my involvement is as a researcher of the subject. It does involve the history of the Libertarian Party, and I am an elected representative presently in the Party and a leader in a party caucus. Some of the prior edits were done by a person in a leadership of a party caucus. But the information is old and incorrect and suffers from viewpoint bias - so what can I do with correction? I am not paid, this is Party historical work that I out of love for the subject and interest in past and current controversies. I did do the changes as a suggested edit. Some of the changes last month are not viewpoint neutral, and the article itself was badly organized, having gotten edits thrown in haphazardly. I would like to get it updated within guidelines and with viewpoint neutrality. I also disclosed potential conflict of interest in the talk page. If you could let me know anything to do next, I do not wish to do anything improper or controversial, just get this updated.

Potential COI
Good afternoon,
Thank you for your message welcoming me to Wikipedia. It is appreciated.
I understand the rules surrounding COI on Wikipedia. I have read them extensively, but I do understand the need for the refresh with such a grey area. You say that it is best to avoid articles about your organisation directly, but I will strive to meet all of the guidelines with regards to neutrality and third-party sourcing in my article. It is permitted here WP:BFAQ#COMPANY to create a page for your organisation if you feel you can meet these requirements, which I will do my utmost to meet.
Moreover, I believe I have declared my COI on my user page, as is required here: WP:COIPAYDISCLOSE. However, if I have misunderstood this and am required to declare my COI elsewhere, I would be very much open to you highlighting where I need to post this instead and thank you in advance for your advice.
I have no intention of editing other Wikipedia articles to shoehorn links that funnel towards my company's new article, should it be accepted. Rest assured there will not be an issue under the WP:SPAM rules.
Thank you for your time.

Farid yazdani
Hey there. Thank you so much for helping edit the page about actor- Farid Yazdani. Just curious as to why you removed imdb as a Cite error: A <ref>
tag is missing the closing </ref>
(see the help page).
I have to be absolutely honest and hold my hands up as I think that I have created the entire page against the rules of wikipedia. It is very much a page which is directly related to me as it is a technique that I came up with and pretty much the entire article seems to be violating wikipedia's content policies.
I am incredibly sorry about this but had thought that as it was discussing a lot of other people's work in context to my own that perhaps it wasn't but after your message and properly reading the Wikipedia terms I realise how wrong I have been especially as I am currently turning it into a commercial product and I think that that really will go against what Wikipedia is about.
Could you please remove the page for me as I can't seem to do that.
In future, if someone were to write up an entry about the technique then I assume that that would have to be someone other than me? I only ask as the reason for the article is that I do a lot of teaching on the technique and it's a useful thing for people to find out about it. So, for instance, if a student wrote about it would that be ok (I have many students from around the world that write theses on it?
Anyhow, please do get back to me about this and as I say, I really am very sorry to have made this mistake.

Richard Warshak
Thank you for your attention to the article: Richard Warshak. You requested sources for the Education section. Cornell does not publish an online alumni directory that is open to the public. But the Cornell Alumni Magazine, volume 104, Issue 5, March/April 2002 mentions me in the Class Notes, page 94, column 1, first complete paragraph. Here is the link: http://hdl.handle.net/1813/28159
Also, you asked for a citation for the statement that the Warshak dissertation “was the first study to directly compare children growing up in father-custody homes to children growing up in mother-custody homes.” A source for this statement can be found if you Google: santrock warshak journal social issues. The first hit is to an article cited by 392. This journal article was based on my dissertation. The beginning of the journal article reviews the literature at that time and demonstrates that my dissertation study was the first study to directly compare children growing up in father-custody homes to children growing up in mother-custody homes. Thus, the reference for this statement in the paragraph under Career is that 1979 article. The full reference for that article can be found as the first reference in the section: Selected publications: Scientific articles. Another source that may be relevant to add is from the New York Times. I authored an amicus brief that was influential in the decision made by the California Supreme Court. The New York Times published an article mentioning my work and quoting me in their Sunday, Front page of Section 1 article on the landmark case. Here is a link to this article: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/08/nyregion/divorced-parents-move-and-custody-gets-trickier.html?_r=0 I apologize if the format of my comments above is inaccurate, or if I am supposed to place this type of comment somewhere else.Rawars (talk) 17:53, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my comment. I was not sure if I should post my reply to my talk page or yours, but here it is.
Among the improvements you made to the page was the deletion of the unsourced statement that I served as a White House consultant on family law reform. For a source, see page 86, paragraph 3 of the pdf file accessed on this page http://files.eric.ed.gov/fulltext/ED386269.pdf The document mentions my name as meeting with White House Assistant Domestic Policy advisor Bill Galston. At that meeting I was one of only three participants who were invited to deliver summaries of the scientific literature to guide family law reform. If it would help, I may be able to locate the letter in my files from the White House thanking me for the consultation and post this on my website. (My website has a photo of me in the White House, but I don’t think that would qualify as a reliable source.)
Regarding my education: The best secondary source that I can think of to document the Education section is an article published in the University of Baltimore Law Review. Because law review articles can influence statutory and case law, these articles are vetted in the greatest detail. For instance, the editors of this article verified every detail of the article including 414 footnotes. Page 1 of the article gives this information about me: “Clinical Professor of Psychology, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. B.S. 1971, Cornell University; Ph.D. 1978, University of Texas Health Science Center.” The law review article is available online here: https://law.ubalt.edu/academics/publications/lawreview/volumes/6_Warshak.41.1.pdf
Every other reference that I can think of that clearly states my degree (Ph. D.), such as a psychology journal using the degree after my name, would ultimately trace back to me as the source. For instance, journal editors, or the judges who accepted my CA Supreme Court Amicus Brief, do not contact the university to determine if I accurately represented my degree. Short of posting a photo of my diploma somewhere, I am not sure how to locate another secondary source.
I looked at the Wikipedia article of some colleagues to see how those pages handled citations, e.g., Daniel Goleman. I found pages where education and numerous awards were listed without any citations. You had removed an award I received because it was unsourced. Is there some leeway in the Wiki rules about this? Short of posting a photo of the award, I can’t think of how to document it.
Some of what you deleted as unsourced commentary on books I think is appropriate and I appreciate your edits. But you also deleted the following portion and I think the reference given would qualify as a secondary source. The authors of the journal article that is quoted are independent:
Divorce Poison is widely regarded as the classic guide to parental alienation. E.g. Bernet et al. (2010) rank Divorce Poison as "perhaps the best-known book for both professionals and the general public regarding the topic of parental alienation".[1]
Regarding my dissertation being the first to study to compare father-custody children with mother-custody children, I think that will have to be deleted because the only possible secondary sources would be doctoral dissertations by others that would be difficult to cite.
The opening paragraph of the page states: “He is best known for his expertise on divorce, child custody, and parental alienation.” You didn’t ask for a source for this, but here are two possibilities. A sitting Canadian judge who hosts a television show introduced me as: “an internationally renowned psychologist specializing in high conflict cases.” A video of the program is available here: http://www.familymatterstv.com/season-2/high-conflict-divorce#.WL9WJGBW2p4 The comment about me is at 3:05 into the video. Unfortunately no written transcript is posted.
Another possibility is a 1992 M magazine profile that describes me as, “One of the country’s foremost experts on child custody.” The magazine article can be found on my website, but the magazine is no longer in existence and thus does not have the article posted on their own website. Also, Maclean’s magazine (Canada) published an interview with me following my testimony in a high profile custody case. http://www.warshak.com/author/profile.htmlRawars (talk) 02:05, 8 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Surfing in India -
Surfing in India -
I did not write anything that is not true.
Wikipedia is supposed to be an encyclopaedia of FACTS. What I wrote are FACTS.
So what if it is about myself? Who better to write this material?
Do you know anything about surfing in India? I don't think so.
I did provide references to everything I wrote -
I have read numerous articles on Surfing in India that are completely wrong - and the writers copied much of their information from Wikipedia
If people are so lazy, should they not have access to the facts?
Restore the deleted text as soon as possible - it is all true
Please see the references below - am I a fraud or a fake?
I don't think so - not a single word on any of these published projects in the Wikipedia on "Surfing in India" -
Thank You

Hey. I am wondering what the rationale behind your revert to terrorism is. I happened to be going through the history of the article, and saw your revert. Melcous, I agree that the term best criticism is unsupported. However, this page seems devoid of any criticism. When I first came to the page, I was surprised by the lack of it. Perhaps there is a better criticism out there, but this was the best one I found. I am newbie on editing Wikipedia so pardon me if I am not going about this the correct way. 26 topics here invisibly disappeared on 2017-03-06 -- Wikipedia bug??
I had been periodically checking back on this page in case there were any comments to the 'This user has adopted the typo "publically" to nurture' section that I added, and found today that the section was gone, so I tried to do a revision history search to see when the word "publically" was deleted, to make sure there were no comments to read before the topic was closed out, but strangely, the search found no results. I then searched manually for when the change disappeared, and found that it happened with Jimlefevre's 2017-03-06T02:38:46 revision. What's bizarre is that the diff from the previous revision doesn't show anything unusual happening, just Jim adding his "Phonotrope" section. The diff doesn't show that topics 24-48 mysteriously disappeared in this revision, and that Jim's new Phonotrope section did not actually get added to the page! This has got to be a bad Wikipedia bug, no...? --Dan Harkless (talk) 07:33, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Dan Harkless, yes it has to be a bug of some kind. I did notice something odd had happened because I got a notification that User:Jimlefevre had left a message but couldn't see it, however I could see the diff in the edit history and so replied to him based on that. I didn't realise quite how much had been deleted until you pointed it out now. I have no idea what happened or how - if you have any ideas or suggestions let me know ... I wonder if it has happened elsewhere! Cheers, Melcous (talk) 08:04, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, good question. Unfortunately I don't have time right now to pursue researching where to report this, and I will also leave any manual restoration of the deleted topics to you, but I wanted to at least give you the data I'd collected while looking into it. --Dan Harkless (talk) 09:08, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
Billy Meier wiki page
Hello. You have deleted information that I included yesterday to enhance the current information about Billy Meier.
I am a recognized UFO researcher about Billy Meier case. I included two links of two of my investigations (that also are registered in the US Congress Library). My links point to PDF documents (my investigations) that can be downloaded for free. I am not making publicity to myself, or obtaining any monetary benefit of it.
Please provide me more information about the reasons to delete my contribution, since I included the links as any other links in the page. May be I did something wrong and I would like to know. Or let me know if my investigations are not considered a "reliable source".
Thank you.

Rhal zahi (talk) 19:00, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- Rhal, to answer on Melcous' behalf, please read Wikipedia:No original research. Honestly, the policy does mean that some valuable information doesn't get added to Wikipedia sometimes, especially on niche topics, but that's in return for an overall effect of helping to keep reference material factual and unbiased. You could create a section on the article's Talk page asking other editors to check out your investigation PDFs and see if they find them worthy of adding to the article themselves. --Dan Harkless (talk) 05:13, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks Dan Harkless - I did respond on Rahl zahi's talk page and suggest the same thing - making a suggestion on the talk page and letting other editors decide if the content is worth including. Cheers, Melcous (talk) 10:23, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
- Oops, sorry about that. Next time I'll check the appropriate user's talk page before I assume I'm doing you a favor by responding to a question you haven't had a chance to get to yet. 😉 P.S. Did you by any chance report the bug that caused all those topics from your talk page to disappear? If so, any response? --Dan Harkless (talk) 11:22, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi Melcous
You undid an edit to the people who have been to the most country page claiming the reference is not valid but the reference is verification from the "Most Travelled People" website after going through their verification process. Economic Liberty Act - sources
Dear Melcous, I don's understand what do you mean for unsourced - what kind of source can be counted as as a normal source? I am trying to describe there a law, which is very important one and the text describes why it is important. As you can see, I'm very new to this. I did not create my page...someone created it for me years ago. I don't understand why after all this time it would be deleted. If something was wrongly posted or incorrectly uploaded, I don't think that it requires the page to be deleted. Please let me know how we can get it un-deleted and what changes need to be made and I will gladly get that taken care of.
Astraontheair (talk) 01:25, 1 April 2017 (UTC)AstraOnTheAir
- It was deleted because it was determined that you do not meet wikipedia's notability criteria, so it is not about what was posted or uploaded but about that basic criteria for this project. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place to promote yourself - you can do that on your own website if you so choose. Also, wikipedia has a conflict of interest policy, so you should not be writing about yourself, nor should other people be creating an article on your behalf. Melcous (talk) 01:58, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
I am an on air radio/tv personality and have been for many years. I actually came across the wikipedia page that was created for me - not BY me. It's not self promotion what so ever. there's no difference between me or any other talent that's out there in the world. So again, please tell me how after about 4-5 years did the page just all of a sudden "need" to get deleted? Astraontheair (talk) 02:48, 1 April 2017 (UTC)AstraOnTheAir
- Wikipedia editors are all volunteers. Something might exist for a time before it is noticed that it does not meet wikipedia's criteria, but that is not a reason for keeping it. I am not an administrator, nor am I the person who deleted the page, but I can see that it was nominated for deletion back in 2015 not long after it was created because it was seen as promotional. Why was it brought to people's attention again more recently? Ironically, because you edited it - the fact that an editor with a conflict of interest was editing an article that appear to be a "puff piece" is actually what brought it to people's attention and brought about the discussion that led to the decision that it didn't meet the notability criteria. At this stage, the fact that you, the person the article was about, are arguing about its deletion, also has the effect of making it seem that it is/was self-promotional. Generally, people who are notable enough will have articles written by independent editors because people want to know about them. If and when that happens for you, then the article might be re-created by someone else. If you really believe you are notable now, you could try requesting that someone create the article at Wikipedia:Requested articles/Biography/By profession#Radio personalities, but again, notability would need to be established by reliable sources, and given that it has been deleted by community consensus, it would then be scrutinised carefully for the same issues. Dear ma'am,
I read on your page that you try to do do the right thing. I thank you for reviewing the article I created and for not nominating it for deletion. But someone else has taken it to the discussion for deletion . I am a new user and my article may have faults which I will gradually learn and solve . I wish to request you to kindly support to keep the article without deletion as the topic has very reliable sources which are leading newspapers in India , and the fact that the works of the person are part of s museum is no ordinary feat at such a young age . I am trying my best to improve the article thpugh I have seen many trivial articles in Wikipedia which no one has problems with . So I request the urgent help if a knowledgeable reviewer like you to help the article from deletion . Thank you . Crazypredator (talk) 12:18, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
Jora Jora possible conflict of interest
Hello,
About reverting 5 edits on Wikipedia Jora Jora. I am aware that these links points to my personal website, but this is a personal enthusiast page, and the only one which holds information about the Jora Aircraft for the time beeing. The information on the page also is for people reading about the plane, and there is no business relations. The only links on these pages are to the previous distributors which now have stopped catering for parts since the last Jora Airplane was produced in 2006.
I believe these pages to be valuable and valid for the people searching for the Jora Airplane, and since there is no business relation from that page at all. I therefor will ask for undoing the changes where the links to the operation manual and the information page om my pages to be reinstated. Experimentiv (talk) 13:16, 9 April 2017 (UTC) Nostalgeek

BC Civil Liberties Association
Hi Melcous - Thank you for recent revisions to my additions to the BC Civil Liberties Association page. I noticed that you have removed the links to the publications that that the BCCLA prints and directed me to Wikipedia's guide on external links. I have read the guide and I am uncertain what exactly you're taking issue with. Under "What can normally be linked" it states "An article about a book... should link to a site hosting a legally distributed copy of the work, so long as none of the § Restrictions on linking and § Links normally to be avoided criteria apply." The publication section of the page is about books published by the association and was linking to the site hosting legally distributed copies of the publications. Under "Links normally to be avoided" the only potential issue I see is "Websites of organizations mentioned in an article —unless they otherwise qualify as something that should be linked or considered". It appears to me that the "unless" portion of that is satisfied.
Can you provide greater clarity on why you feel the links conflict with the guidelines?
Also, I am not sure how you are making these edits, but you should know that they are resulting in incorrect italicization of other portions of the paragraph that you're editing.
I look forward to hearing back from you. AoJ.KM (talk) 06:35, 17 April 2017 (UTC)

Creation of Wikipedia Page
Hello Melcous. Recently I created the article stub https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ishaan_Agrawal, about a prominent cuber in our community. However it got flagged for being an autobiography, which it is not. In addition, the page was flagged for notability. The edits I made to the Hocopper page are accurate
Hi,
Regarding you undoing the edit I did of HotCopper.
I was the founder of HotCopper more than 20 years ago. I started Hotcopper in 1993 and the information about it's history is wrong. I would like it fixed.
I am currently on the page as it is but not really cited, so please fix it.
Or do I will need to take legal action to do the corrections? I may not have the funds to apply for a court order but I will make an issue of the incorrect details about HotCopper with the media. I do not want to cite Wikipedia regarding this error.
I had the first forum of any kind in Australia and maybe the first finance forum in the world.
I have not had a relationship with HotCopper since 2000.
I have a legacy, being one of the first Internet pioneers and the founder of HotCopper.
I believe my legacy should be recognized in your site.
Please do it.

Posting Guidance for Technical Papers
Hi... I'm retired from the U.S. Forest Service and using my National Scenic Trail experience as the Continental Divide Trail program manager, I have developed a National Scenic Trail Planning Handbook. The material that is currently found for the Continental Divide Trail page promotes use and organizations that are related to this National Trail, but doesn't provide information about how National Scenic Trails should be planned and managed as related to the requirements of the National Trails System Act. Is there an appropriate place to post on Wikipedia a technical paper? Instead of web-link, could it be posted as a reference? Is there a Wikipedia posting review board where I should send this type of question? I appreciate the help! Thank you, Greg Warren
P.S. For reference, here's is the link that you or someone deleted from the CDT page: http://nstrail.org/management/nst_planning_handbook.pdf.
