I'm a fair guy, all the way around, but why is this guy doing commentary on "I Love the 70s" when, according to your own article, he was born in 1971? His commentaries include the years 1970, 1971, and 1972. He goes into great detail commenting on events that occurred during these years. Well, forgive me, but how the hell does he know what was going on the year before he was born, the year he was born, and the year he celebrated his first birthday? Maybe he has read about them and watched retro clips, but that hardly explains how he relates events of those years as if he was an active participant! I was born in 1960, and could give a fairly accurate analysis of certain events in the late 60s, but I would have to pass on comments regarding the Nixon/Kennedy debates, the Bay of pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Kennedy Assassination being as how I was still in diapers (cloth ones) in those days, and hardly qualify to give my opinion. Get serious, VH1! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ribberboy (talkcontribs) 21:34, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article has WAY too much info on Poker. It's a bio, not an article on poker.

No, it doesn't. Poker is a major hobby of his, and his Celebrity Poker Showdown appearances have been one of the largest sources of fans for him, after the "I Love The..." series. The problem isn't that we have too much info on a certain topic, it's that we have far too little on most other subjects of relevance to him: the solution isn't to remove noteworthy information, but to add more info on his personal life, career, and other appearances and interests so that the page becomes more balanced. Yes it does.
I agree that the article needs more info on his life and non-poker career, rather than less content on poker. One thing I'd like to see is an explanation of why/how he chose the name "Michael Ian Black" as his stage name. | Mr. Darcy talk 17:44, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For instance, the fact that he hosted the public-humiliation show Spy TV is mentioned but not explored. He chose to be a professional bully at that time in his career, and the fact should be presented along with his "poker-charity work".

Michael Ian Black's Blog

Would it be okay to add and external link to his blog at http://michaelianblack.typepad.com/ ???

David Sedaris

He has a fake feud with David Sedaris that is chronicalled (sic) on his website. It is noteworthy and should be included on his page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.125.11.58 (talk) 21:53, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

HOW CAN THIS ARTICLE TALK ABOUT POKER FOR SEVERAL PARAGRAPHS, YET NOT HAVE SENTENCE ON HIS ROLE ON "ED". HE WAS ON THE SHOW FOR 4 YEARS, IN BASICALLY EVERY EPISODE! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.56.71.132 (talk) 03:13, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is he actually related to Billy Corgan?

I couldn't find a source on this, is it verifiable. Also, why is it not linked to Billy Corgan's wikipedia site? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.199.92.246 (talk) 01:59, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your mother's billy corgan. 02:48, 7 January 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.146.191.165 (talk)

Showalter

Although the reference to the ShowAlter (re: Chicken Cheeks) is primarily comedic, it appears to be an honest account of the author's own opinion of his work. Hence the link has been included. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.96.116.125 (talk) 08:59, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent web series, Backwash

Mr. Black was featured in eleven episodes of a web series called "Backwash" (2010-2011), authored by Joshua Malina and others. It was available on Crackle. Here's its IMDB page. Juliannechat (talk) 03:53, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NFL

I have removed the statement about his supposed NFL career. There are no other sources for this other than his Twitter, where it's clearly a joke. Radiant chains (talk) 12:29, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
