Confirmed

Anni3carter (talk) 21:49, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all, I appreciate that the bar for getting confirmed and uploading images is deliberately low, but I don't want to make any arbitrary edits for the sake of making edits. I would love to upload images without releasing the rights (which I understand to be necessary when using wiki media) so I believe using a confirmed account would be my best bet. Thanks for your consideration and let me know if there are better alternatives I might have missed.

Hello @Anni3carter:. For uploads to commons: there are several licensing schemes you can select, you can see them by going to commons:Special:Upload and looking at the pull-down menu. For the most part these are the same licenses used for uploads directly to the English Wikipedia, with the same sorts of releases. The only difference is that we also allow for certain files to be uploaded when they will be used in an article and meet a very specific set of criteria (see Wikipedia:Non-free_content). Is the file you want to upload something that is non-free and meets the non-free content criteria? — xaosflux Talk 15:21, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As a part of a school assignment my teacher is requesting us to edit assigned wiki pages. Since the deadline is soon approaching, I am requesting confirmed permissions. Toasty136 (talk) 23:49, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - Hi, and thank you for creating an account to edit Wikipedia. Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies. The good news is that fewer than 5% of Wikipedia articles are protected; this means that 95% of the articles can use your help right now! Beeblebrox (talk) 22:15, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I have noticed that there has been a lot of vandilism on the streamer Sodapoppins Wiki page and want to help change some of it back to normal and also add more information rather than just a "Careers" section. I made this account to help revert Sodapoppins page and add things but it said I needed to be confirmed to edit. MrMcFrizzy (talk) 01:03, 15 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
