He presided over PLA bombardment?

"As commander of the 9th Infantry Division from 1958 to 1961, Hau presided over the 44-day bombardment of Quemoy by the People's Liberation Army." Why would a KMT officer preside over a PLA action? That makes no sense. Perhaps he presided over the defense of Quemoy during the bombardment? Readin (talk) 00:24, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wife's death

I have reverted the recent edits indicating that Hau's wife died on 15 March 2016 because I see no evidence that the "Kuo Wan-hua" (郭婉華) who died then was actually Hau's wife. None of the news articles I found discussing Ms. Kuo's death identify her as Hau's wife. Phlar (talk) 15:39, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

She's dead now, anyway, 12 September 2018 at 96. --79.40.121.251 (talk) 09:31, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
