Hello

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Are you, perhaps, Wynn Benti? Your answer is entirely optional, as I do not wish to expose the identity of anyone who wishes to remain anonymous here on Wikipedia. If so, I respect your work greatly, and hope to work with you to improve Wikipedia articles related to the High Sierra topics you've covered over the years. If you are someone else, I also welcome you, and hope that you will continue contributing. Thank you. Cullen328 (talk) 03:26, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ah yes. Not sure if I am using correct protocol to respond to this.

Signature

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --David Biddulph (talk) 19:30, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

September 2017

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Richard Coons. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! I've added a reference to the Tea Page, where this discussion should be, so that all editors can participate. I would feel more comfortable with this discussion appearing on the Tea Page. You can find my input there.

Yosemite4 (talk) 21:08, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, we quite often don't get to discuss topics where we would like to do it. Generally, topics are discussed on the Talk pages of the articles in question. Best wishes. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 23:34, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am responding to your comment. Mr Benti covered the assassinations of Robert Kennedy Jr., Martin Luther King, live for CBS network in NYC in 1968, before the internet when there were only three primetime broadcast networks in the United States and print and radio were the only other forms of communication. He also covered the 1968 Democratic Convention, and won several Emmys for his work. I have rewritten the entry because the complaint concerned the fact that the citations did not include a reference to his home in Studio City. I have addressed this on the tea page.

It may be best to create an article about Joseph Benti. This would confirm his notability. There are resources available on Wikipedia to assist you. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:26, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also, neither of the sources listed above is "about" Joseph Benti; they only discuss what he did. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:30, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. By continuing to revert, you are engaging in a WP:Edit war, so it would be best just to discuss your proposed changes on this page. Thank you. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 23:42, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, you should discuss improving the article by clicking here. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 23:56, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Studio City, Los Angeles, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Wikipedia is not an acceptable reference, see WP:CIRCULAR, and in any case it was a broken link.

Conflict of interest

Got it! It's there. Thank you!Yosemite4 (talk) 02:55, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. That is pretty clear and will be helpful information for other editors trying to assist you.
I will declare my own mild conflict of interest. I have met you a few times in a business setting and have purchased a work of art and a few books from an historic art gallery you own in Bishop, California. We are also Facebook friends. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 04:07, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
