Extraction is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by Sam Hargrave and screenplay by Joe Russo, based on the comic Cuidad by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Fernando Leon Gonzalez, and Eric Skillman. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Rudhraksh Jaiswal, David Harbour, Pankaj Tripathi, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Marc Donato, Fay Masterson and Derek Luke.
It is scheduled to be released on April 24, 2020, by Netflix.
Premise
Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is a fearless black-market mercenary with nothing left to lose when his skills are solicited to rescue Ovi (Rudraksh Jaiswal), the son of an imprisoned international crime lord who is kidnapped. But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible, forever altering the lives of Rake and the boy.

Production
On August 31, 2018, it was announced that Sam Hargrave would direct Dhaka from a screenplay by Joe Russo.[1] In addition, Chris Hemsworth was set to star in the film.[1] In November 2018, the rest of the cast was set.[2][3]
Production began in Ahmedabad and Mumbai in November 2018.[3] Filming next took place in Ban Pong, Ratchaburi, Thailand and plateshots in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The cast stayed in Nakhon Pathom.[3] Principal production ended in March 2019.[4][5] The film's title was changed to Out of the Fire, before the film's final title was revealed to be Extraction on February 19, 2020.
