The '''[[2015–16 NBA season|2015–16]] [[Cleveland Cavaliers]] season''' is the 46th season of the franchise in the [[National Basketball Association]] (NBA).

Despite the fast start to the season, head coach David Blatt was fired on January 22, 2016 and assistant coach Tyronn Lue took over for the rest of the season. The Cavs finished 57–25 and took the number one seed in the Eastern Conference for the first time since [[2009–10 Cleveland Cavaliers season|2010]]. The team would go on to advance to the [[2016 NBA Finals|NBA finals]] for the second year in a row, and win their first championship.
