Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a New England nautical-themed resort at Walt Disney World.[1] First opened on November 5, 1990, it is one of the several Epcot Area Resorts. Disney's Yacht Club is located next to a sister resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort, and across Crescent Lake from Disney's BoardWalk Resort. The resort is owned and operated by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. It was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects.[2]

Resort features

Disney's Yacht and Beach Club resorts share resources, including staff and management. Boat transportation from both of the resorts run to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, as well as the BoardWalk and the Walt Disney World Swan & Walt Disney World Dolphin resorts. The resort is about five minutes walking distance from Epcot and roughly 15 minutes walking distance to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Guests are allowed to use the back entrance to Epcot through the World Showcase between the France and the UK Pavilions.

The Yacht Club is home to a 73,000-square-foot (6,800 m2) Convention Center shared with the Beach Club.

Entertainment

Dining Disney's Yacht Club Resort shares facilities with Disney's Beach Club Resort and together feature four full-service restaurants, a poolside counter-service restaurant, two marketplaces, and several bars and lounges.

Ale and Compass Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a New England style Gastropub setting, featuring traditional American Fare for Breakfast, and a mixture of American and New England Seafood fare for lunch and dinner.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is the signature dining option at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts and is also located at Yacht Club Resort. This Steakhouse is open for dinner and serves quality USDA steaks, free range chicken, and fresh seafood entrees and appetizers in a nautical, wood paneled space with an open kitchen for patrons to view their entrees being prepared by the restaurants chefs.

The Market At Ale and Compass serves as the quick service dining option and gift shop for Yacht Club Resort. This spot is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves breakfast items, panini's, sandwiches, pizza, salads, and coffee to go.

Ale and Compass Lounge located next to the Ale and Compass restaurant, this nautically themed lounge serves, beer, wine, signature cocktails, appetizers, and small plates for lunch and dinner.

Crew's Cup Lounge this spot is located next to to Yachtsman Steakhouse and serves, alcoholic beverages, cocktails, appetizers and small plates, and is open for dinner.

Hurricane Hanna's is the pool bar and grill between the two resorts, located along the south side of the Stormalong Bay Pool and mini waterpark. This quick service spot serves, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, alcohol and specialty cocktails.

Pools

Stormalong Bay is the main 3-acre pool complex at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club resorts that resembles a beach-side water park with its sand-bottom pools, a circular lazy river, waterfall, and a large replica of a shipwreck with one of the highest resort water slides at Walt Disney World. The Stormalong Bay pool complex offers a poolside counter service restaurant and bar, a shallow area for children called the Shipwreck Pool, and an elevated tanning deck. Stormalong Bay is centrally located between both the Beach Club Resort and the Yacht Club Resort, facing Crescent Lake. From January 2025 to May 2025, Stormalong Bay and the Shipwreck Pool will undergo routine maintenance.

Recreation

Ship Shape Health Club is a health and fitness center. The health club is centrally between both the Beach Club Resort and the Yacht Club Resort.

Lafferty Place Arcade is an indoor arcade shared by the two resorts and is adjacent to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.

Convention center Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Convention Center is a convention center located at the Yacht Club resort and is over 73,000 square feet (6,800 m2) of meeting space.[6]
