Suggesting expansion of the article

I've added my COI tag here and would like to suggest expansion of this article. As always, I'm open to feedback in service of consensus building. As a first step toward building a consensus, I hope all can agree that the current article is inadequate given the cultural significance of the subject.

Since there are currently no sections, I propose initial edits that bring this article in line with the format of similar articles by improving the initial summary paragraph, adding a history section, improving and correcting data in the Infobox, and including discussion what makes the company socially significant.

I'm including a proposed draft below, so please feel free to weigh in with any appropriate feedback. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the subject. SBCornelius (talk) 20:23, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done Hi @SBCornelius: I think this can be done with a few changes:
1. consolidate the list of products in "Casetify now produces..." to just say technology accessories, or similar, this reads WP:promotional. I'll omit the list of products.
2. "The demand for individual Casetify products is frequently driven by their visibility among celebrities and influencers, such as Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid." is subjective and could also be considered promotional. omitting this for now.
3. i'll also include these additional references to support fastest growing tech company: [1]https://www.wonderlandmagazine.com/2020/06/10/casetify-wes-ng-buzziest-tech-phone-accessories/ and [2]https://www.dhl.com/discover/en-id/about-dhl/success-stories/the-brand-making-your-phone-case-stand-out.

Hi @Melodies1917: Thank you for the feedback and help. SBCornelius (talk) 21:18, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I'd written a couple of sections that I didn't include in my original request so as to not overwhelm the page. Your feedback about what you didn't include was helpful and has me wondering what you might think about these sections:
(Perhaps in the History section)
The company reports a compound annual growth rate of 70% with 2022 sales projected to exceed US$300 million. Casetify received its first external funding in June 2021 when the venture capital firm C Ventures acquired 10% of Casetify in a deal worth an undisclosed amount.[1][2]
Products & Technology
Most products are made with 50%-65% recycled materials.[3][4] In 2022, the company introduced ReCASETiFY, a program that manufactures new phone cases with materials from recycled phone cases sent in by consumers using ISO 14000 standards.[5][6][7] Not all Casetify products support Apple's MagSafe technology for the iPhone 12 and IPhone 13.[8]
Casetify Impact and Ultra Impact cases have drop height ratings up to four times what is required to be considered military grade.[9] The Impact and Ultra Impact offer protection from drops of 8.2 and 9.8 feet,[10][11] while the Bounce Case can protect devices from falls as high as 21 feet.[12]
The products with the highest level of protection are made with plant-based materials and utilize impact-absorbing features like air chambers, reenforced corners and ribs that distribute energy.[13] Fashion-focused products utilize leather and mirrored materials.[14][15]
Web3 and NFT
Casetify has partnered with the owners of Bored Ape NFTs to license phone and computer cases that feature BAYC NFTs.[16][17] Customers may also create cases featuring NFTs after verifying ownership,[18] and Casetify CEO Wesley Ng purchased BAYC NFT #3583 for $1.6 million HKD.[19]
What are your thoughts on including information like this to further round out the article? Thanks again! SBCornelius (talk) 21:31, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

History

Formerly Casetagram, Casetify's initial products were customized cell phone cases created using the purchaser's Instagram photos. Users could upload images from Instagram to an interface that allowed them create a custom collage or single-image case.[20] Users can now create custom cases using photos from Instagram and Facebook, or by directly uploading photographs and adding custom text.[21] Casetify now produces additional products such as accessories for laptops, watches and watch bands[22], phone grips[23], wireless ear buds[24], MagSafe wallets[25] and Nintendo Switch cases.[26]

The company has Brick and mortar locations in the United States[27][28], Hong Kong, including a flagship store in the city's Landmark Mall complex, Japan, South Korea[29] and a pop-up store in Bangkok, Thailand.[30][31] As of October 2022, Casetify had a 4.0 user rating on Trustpilot.

Partnerships & Collaborations

Casetify has launched collaborations with internationally-known artists, galleries and museums to produce cases featuring fine art. The Louvre collection features art by Leonardo da Vinci, Eugène Delacroix and ancient works such as the Venus de Milo.[32] The Metropolitan Museum of Art partnered with Casetify to licenses products featuring the art of Van Gough, Degas and Monet. Casetify has also partnered with individual artists such as David Shrigley and Yayoi Kusama to produce collections featuring their work.[33][34]

Casetify has also collaborated with more than 100 companies[35], including brands such as DHL,[36] Blanc & Eclare,[37] Pokémon,[38] Pixar,[39] Lucas Film,[40] Vetements,[41] and K-pop group BTS for phone case collections.[42] The demand for individual Casetify products is frequently driven by their visibility among celebrities and influencers,[43][44] such as Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid.[45] SBCornelius (talk) 20:23, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
