How much eugenol in spices

Does ordinary spice (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, bay leaf, etc.) in an ordinary serving (around 1 tablespoon, not 1 teaspoon, have enough eugenol for any (even the tiniest) amount of anasthesia? Or does it have to be refined? This is not a druggy question, if that is what you're thinking. Chiss Boy 16:23, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Suuuuuurrre it's not... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.56.24.206 (talk) 04:18, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I´m allergic to metil-eugenol and the ammount of it in spices (except for jamaican pepper and clove) isn´t enough to cause me allergic reactions. So I´d guess anasthesia (with normally would need FAR more metil-eugenol than what´s needed to trigger an allergic reaction) is ruled out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.169.41.123 (talk) 19:08, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
