About Me

Welcome to my user page. I began editing sporadically as an anon in 2005, registered my account on Wikipedia in February 2006, and have been active regularly since the end of June 2006. In January 2007, I became an administrator, and I also currently serve as an Arbitration Committee Clerk.

My mainspace contributions have included creating some pages and updating or expanding some articles in the area of law and legal history, but my interests range far and wide and I've been known to chime in anywhere, both in mainspace and WP space.

I am also m:User:Newyorkbrad on meta-wiki, where my primary involvement thus far has been as a member of the committee that organized this year's Board of Trustees election.

If you would like to comment on one of my contributions, or have any questions about Wikipedia or any of my edits or administrator actions, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page or send me an e-mail. I can also be found, at irregular intervals, on IRC, but unless there are urgent circumstances such as privacy issues, I generally prefer to base my administrator actions primarily on discussion or evidence on-wiki. Cbrown1023 gets the credit and/or blame for explaining IRC to me as an older user who still has trouble some days figuring out how to turn the computer on.

My thanks also to Mets501 for designing this userpage, to R for setting up the current archive system on my talkpage, and to the editors who answered my helpdesk questions and posted to my talk when I was a brand-new user and convinced me that this was a project and a community that I wanted to be a part of for a long time.
