Re:Deletion review for File:Rumble_Roses_Mud_Wrestling.JPG

Sorry? There's no deletion review, but there is an IfD. And I realise that there is one, as I was the one who started it... J Milburn (talk) 11:31, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Terror Inside

A tag has been placed on Terror Inside requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. AfD nomination of Kelly Overton (actress)

I have nominated Kelly Overton (actress), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kelly Overton (actress). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. An article you created maybe deleted soon: Tools which can help you

The article you created, Kelly_Overton_(actress) maybe deleted from Wikipedia.

There is an ongoing debate about whether your article should be deleted here:

The faster your respond, the better chance the article you created can be saved. This is because deletion debates only stay open for a few days, and the first comments are usually the most important.

There are several tools and other editors who can help you keep the page from being deleted forever:

  1. You can list the page up for deletion on Article Rescue Squadron. If you need help listing your page, add a comment on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
  2. You can request a mentor to help explain to you all of the complex rules that editors use to get a page deleted, here: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond on the deletion page.
  3. When try to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. Don't let these acronyms intimidate you.
Here is a list of your own acronyms you can use yourself: WP:Deletion debate acronyms which may support the page you created being kept.
Acronyms in deletion debates are sometimes incorrectly used, or ignore rules or exceptions.
  4. You can merge the article into a larger or better established article on the same topic.

If your page is deleted, you still have many options available. Good luck! travb (talk) 01:38, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Were you arguing for keep or delete at the AfD...? In either case, the sources toward notability were easy to find to establish coverage of her as an actress AND a director. So I improved the article. Any advice? Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:53, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of In My Sleep

A tag has been placed on In My Sleep requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article.

The sources and links are out there: director, producer, production company, Official Website, IMDB, Celebrity Winder, Soundtrack Collector. In post production and slated for release in a few months... its a keeper and just needs work. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 19:48, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How about this my friend... from almost being deleted to being worth a DYK. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 03:03, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Al Farooj Fresh, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.gulfbase.com/site/interface/NewsArchiveDetails.aspx?n=53931. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. • The problem was that the article was mostly copied from a newspaper article; in addition, the statement was promotional in nature. Personally, I don't believe the restaurant is notable enough to have a Wikipedia article; but if you believe otherwise, you can re-create the article, preferrably as a userspace draft at User:Roaring Siren/Al Farooj Fresh. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 08:24, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Al Farooj Fresh

A tag has been placed on Al Farooj Fresh, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Image copyright problem with File:Reiko RR.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Reiko RR.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 05:28, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Red Sonja 2009.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Red Sonja 2009.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:37, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Mimi Lesseos

A tag has been placed on Mimi Lesseos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

Proposed deletion of Pushed to the Limit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Pushed to the Limit, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Unremarkable movie (see WP:NOTABILITY).

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Terror Inside

A tag has been placed on Terror Inside requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Hello, Roaring Siren. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 16:55, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Mimi Lesseos article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the "Help Desk". You can also leave a message on my talk page. -- Syrthiss (talk) 17:45, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Third Opinions

Hi Roaring Siren,

I've have checked the page history to discover that you were the editor who requested a third opinion at both Al Farooj Fresh and Mimi Lesseos. It seems you posted these to the Active Disagreements section without fully reading the information above it. Third opinions are for content disputes between two editors and are not for articles nominated for deletion - as you have seen there is a whole separate process for this. So it's a bit of a pain to go to the talk pages and create a request wondering where the dispute is, only to find the page is now deleted! But nevermind, we're all here to learn...

You seem to be quite busy on WP and have certainly been here longer than me, but judging from your talk page and your contributions you're having a few problems with some of the policies and guidelines. It must get quite tiring and I admire you sticking with it to try and improve your editing. It might seem a bit like Delicious carbuncle (talk) is following you around and maybe persecuting you, but they are rightfully ensuring that wikipedia doesn't break the law and that articles meet policy and guidelines. You should take a note of what Dc wrote here and thoroughly read WP:VERIFIABILITY, WP:NOTABILITY, WP:COPYVIO and WP:Reliable Sources. If you've already read them, read them again ;-)

Going forward, can I suggest the best way for you to contribute is to find stub pages that are from subjects that interest you and expand them with sources that meet the requirements outlined above? Maybe Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles would interest you?

I hope the above is of use and is of some encouragement. If you need some more help I can probably assist, fetch me on my talk page. Good luck! Bigger digger (talk) 20:19, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
