New page reviewer

User:Anita5192

I am applying so I can help reduce the backlog. Anita5192 (talk) 15:12, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for requesting a trial for new page reviewer rights to help drive the backlog Down.

I hav've created 8 high quality articles, and 730* total article edits, and am very confidant in my ability to grasp MoS and polices.

My pages get reviewed, its always all clear. I feel confident I can really help!

Looking to dedicate myself into this for a month to see how well I can help make Wikipedia a better place. Cray04 (talk) 12:55, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Concerns have been expressed recently about your understanding of CSD (e.g. here at the ANI thread you started, here by Liz), and I'm thoroughly unimpressed with replies like this to concerns expressed about conflict-of-interest editing. firefly ( t · c ) 13:32, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to request an extension of my ongoing trial. Admittedly, my activity hasn't increased much since I last applied for the right. Holiday festivities and getting sick had gotten in the way for the last two weeks of December. That said, I had signed up for the January backlog drive and I wish to be able to help out there and bear NPR rights at least until the drive is over, for subsequent reassessment on whether I should receive permanent NPR or if more history is required. I would wish to participate in the New Page Patrol's January backlog drive to help out with the massive backlog. I am moderately experienced, with my edits (around 8000) having been mostly in anti-vandalism but also in new content creation, and I believe both skills combined can be helpful to join the NPP. I also have occasionally participated in AfD. I am willing to learn by experience, and would be happy to have a trial extending to the end of January. Hoping to participate in Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Backlog drives/January 2024 but lack this permission. Ryan shell (talk) 16:22, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I was granted this permission for a month by @User:HJ Mitchell and now I think I am eligible for the permission. (Note - Because of many family functions, I was not too active last month.). Happy New Year. 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝟕𝟐𝟖🧙‍♂️Let's Talk ! 05:16, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey all! I previously requested new page reviewer rights back in February 2022, and my request was denied (CC: Rosguill) as it was seen that I had a less-than-optimal track record with article creation, particularly with relation to notability. I believe I've learned from these mistakes, and I've since started several new articles that I believe much better demonstrate a thorough understanding of Wikipedia's notability standards.

I would love to help out as a participant in the January NPP backlog drive, branching out into another area of the project. Specifically, I would start with the pages listed at WP:NPPEASY to get the hang of the tools and procedures. Then, I would like to move toward unreviewed North America articles, as I'm most familiar with that part of the world and it seems to be one of the largest collections of unreviewed pages.

Thank you so much in advance for your (re)consideration! I appreciate your time and any feedback you may have for improvement. Bsoyka (tcg) 04:24, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for requesting new page reviewer rights: Would it be possible to give NPP rights to my bulk-edit alt account: User:AcebulfALT? I want to participate in the NPP drive, but the frequency with which I am compelled to help (virtually every article I'm reviewing at this point) is going to destroy my contributions list, which I use extensively to keep track of my work and follow up on some tickets. (Feel free to deny if there's some problem with non-autoconfirmed users and the tool.) Cheers! Acebulf (talk | contribs) 05:46, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Already done (automated response): This user already has the "patroller" user right. MusikBot talk 05:50, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for requesting new page reviewer rights:

This is User:Acebulf! I tried applying on behalf of AcebulfALT previously but the bot autodenied it, due to my account already having the perms. I have removed it and am reapplying with the ALT account.
