The second Annual "Premios Juventud" or "Youth Awards" was held on 22 September at 8 to 11 pm (7-10 pm Central), which was live from Miami, Florida. This is the first award show which celebrates the preferences of this country's young Hispanics, "Premios Juventud 2005" gave awards in 31 unconventional categories.[1][2]

Nominations and winners

Daddy Yankee and Shakira were the leading nominees, with 8 and 7 nominations respectively. Mexican group RBD follows with 5 nominations in various categories.

The night's biggest winners were Daddy Yankee and Shakira. Other takers included RBD and Jennifer Lopez, with four and two statuettes respectively.In Sports, famous baseball shortstop Alex Rodríguez ("Most Electrifying Guy Jock"), and Mexican track and field phenom Ana Guevara ("Most Electrifying Gal Jock") each received statuettes.
