Coochbehar Government Medical College and Hospital is a full-fledged tertiary referral Government Medical college. It was established in the year 2018. Now the name is changed to "Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College and Hospital, Coochbehar"
About college
The college imparts the degree Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). Nursing and para-medical courses are also offered. The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognised by Medical Council of India. The hospital associated with the college is one of the largest hospitals in the Coochbehar. The selection to the college is done on the basis of merit through National Eligibility and Entrance Test. Yearly undergraduate student intake is 100 from the year 2019.The college has started its MBBS course from 1st August 2019.[1]

Coochbehar Medical College, West Bengal undertakes education and training of students MBBS courses.[2] This college is offering 100 MBBS seats from 2019 of which 85% Seats are of state quota and 15% is for Nation Counselling.
