The Hunter 34 is an American sailboat, that was designed by Cortland Steck.[1][2][3]

The boat was built by Hunter Marine in the United States between 1983 and 1987, but it is now out of production.[1]

Design

The Hunter 34 is a small recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a masthead B&R rig, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder and a fixed fin keel. It displaces 11,820 lb (5,361 kg) and carries 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) of iron ballast.[1][2]

The boat has a draft of 5.50 ft (1.68 m) with the standard keel and 4.25 ft (1.30 m) with the optional shoal draft keel. It has a hull speed of 7.12 kn (13.19 km/h).[1][2][4]

The boat is fitted with a Japanese Yanmar 3GM diesel engine. The fuel tank holds 25 U.S. gallons (95 L; 21 imp gal) and the fresh water tank has a capacity of 65 U.S. gallons (250 L; 54 imp gal).[1]
