Tulasi is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language action film, produced by D.Suresh Babu on Suresh Productions banner and directed by Boyapati Srinu. It stars Venkatesh, Nayantara and music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. It was later dubbed into Malayalam with the same title.

Plot

Parvataneni Tulasi Ram (Venkatesh) is a native of Rayalaseema. As his region is well known for factional feuds, his father Dasaratha Ramayya (Vijaykumar) keeps him away in Hyderabad, gets him educated, and makes him an architect. Once, he comes across Vasundhara (Nayantara) and later marries her. When Vasu turns pregnant, Tulasi takes her to their native place. Tulasi turns violent when a rival faction pushes his father. Later, the factional feuds continue to haunt him. When Vasu's brother Harsha (Sivaji) dies in the attack by factionists, Vasu could not digest the violence and deserts Tulasi with their son Harsha (Atulith). Later, Tulasi comes to know that Harsha has a blood clot in his brain, and it may cause a hemorrhage. With the help of Dr. Surekha (Ramya Krishnan), Tulasi summons specialists from abroad to get Harsha operated. When everything is ready for the surgery, a gangster (Ashish Vidyarthi) takes away the boy as both of his sons (Subbaraju and Riyaz Khan) were killed by Tulasi. In the climax, Tulasi kills the gangster to save his son's life. The film ends with Vasu reuniting with Tulasi.
