Pullurampara, is a village situated near the town of Thiruvambady in the Calicut district of the Indian state of Kerala. It is approximately 42 km from Calicut and is in two panchayats, Thiruvambady and Kodencheri. Iruvanjippuzha river flows through Pullurampara. The main junction in Pullurampara is Pullurampara Town Junction ( called Argentina Junction )
Education
In Pullurampara, the primary education institution is St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, which serves as the main educational center for the local community. Politics
The Communist Party of India, Indian National Congress, Indian Union Muslim League, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are the prominent political parties in Pullurampara. Since India gained independence, Pullurampara has consistently shown support for the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM), as they have emerged victorious in most legislative assembly elections. Additionally, both the CPIM and the Indian National Congress have taken turns governing the panchayat in regular intervals.
Religion
Muslims, Christians, and Hindus are the main religions in Pullurampara. 48% are Christians, 28% are Muslims, and 24% are Hindus residing here. Christians were the majority here a decade ago, but the excessive number of migrations to European countries drastically lowered the population. Most Christians belong to the Catholic denomination, while some are divided into different categories of Christians like Orthodox and Suriyani. Muslims are the fastest-growing religion in Pullurampara, with most of them belonging to the Sunni organisation. Sunni youth organizations such as the Sunni Students Federation, Sunni Yuvajana Sangham, and Kerala Muslim Jamath are very strong and active in this area. They conduct various moral, ethical, and educational activities to guide the public on the righteous path. 8% of the Muslim population belongs to the revivalist Jamateh Islami. The instability in ideology and weak, baseless stances on political and religious issues have led dozens of families to convert to the Sunni fraction.Hindus mostly worship at the Sree Narayana Temple located at the opening of Kodakkattupara. They are divided into different castes like Nair, Ezhava, Nadar, Ambalavasi, Namboothiri, Nair, Thiyyar, Kammalar etc.Pullurampara is a great example and model of religious harmony and associations.
Pullurampara Sunni Juma Masjid
Pullurampara Sunni Juma Masjid is a prominent mosque in Pullurampara, located on 1.5 acres of land beside the Malayora Highway, 150 meters away from Pullurampara town. The two-floor masjid accommodates nearly 300 people for prayers. A cemetery (qabarsthan) is also nearby the masjid. It conducts different types of programs at regular intervals, with the main and most celebrated festival being Eid Meeladunnabi. Additionally, it holds Badar Uroos, Jeelani Uroos, Ajmeer Uroos, and Madavoor Uroos every year.
Miladunnabi
Miladunnabi (12th of Rabiul Awwal) is the biggest celebration of Muslims in Pullurampara. It marks the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, the last prophet of Muslims, and is celebrated as Miladunnabi. The Prophet's Day has been celebrated in a variety of ways for ages with various programs. This celebration is organized by the Pullurampara Hidayatul Islam Mahal Committee and includes morning praise gatherings, message rallies, children's and adults' art programs, food distribution, love gatherings, and more.

Sunni Students Federation ( SSF)
SSF (Sunni Students Federation), also known as the SSF, is the strongest and most active organization in Pullurampara. It was formed in 1980, with Yusuf serving as its first president (who passed away in Saudi Arabia a few years ago), and Azeez Vythala as its first general secretary. Abdulla Vythala was selected as the joint secretary. Mr. Abdul Qadir Musliyar Vattoli played a vital role in the formation and registration of the organization. Since the arrival of Mr. OM Bahsheer Saqafi in 1995, SSF has grown rapidly. Many youths have been attracted to its system and activities. Parents have shown interest in sending their children to the organization due to its theme and message. SSF has always upheld peace, harmony, and morality.
Sunni Yuvajana Sangham (SYS)
Sunni Yuvajana Sangham (SYS) is the youth organization of Samastha Kerala Sunni Jaamiyyathul Ulama. SYS was formed in Pullurampara in 1983. It will celebrate its Ruby Jubilee in 2023 with various types of activities. SYS plays a vital role in protecting youth from antisocial activities and guiding them towards the divine path.

Landslide Disaster
On August 6, 2012, a devastating landslide disaster occurred in Pullurampara, claiming the lives of eight individuals and causing the displacement of numerous families as their homes, land, and crops were lost. The landslides, which affected various areas including Cherussery Hill and Kodakkatappara Hill, brought forth floods and massive rock piles that shattered the hopes and dreams of countless families.
