Bazar-Korgon is a raion (district) of Jalal-Abad Region in western Kyrgyzstan. The capital lies at Bazar-Korgon.[1] Its area is 1,965 square kilometres (759 sq mi), and its resident population was 142,951 in 2009.[2]

Rural communities and villages

In total, Bazar-Korgon District includes 57 settlements in 9 rural communities (aiyl okmotus). Each rural community can consist of one or several villages. The rural communities and settlements in the Bazar-Korgon District are:[3][2]

  1. Akman aiyl okmotu (6: center - village: Jangy-Akman; and also villages Jarake, Kayyrma, Kolot, Kosh-Korgon and Tash-Bulak)
  2. Bazar-Korgon aiyl okmotu (3: center - village: Bazar-Korgon; and also villages Besh-Badam and Jeti-Koshkon)
  3. Beshik-Jon aiyl okmotu (4: center - village: Beshik-Jon; and also villages Jon, Baymunduz and Karacha)
  4. Arstanbap okmotu (5: center - village: Arslanbob; and also villages Bel-Terek, Gumkhana, Jay-Terek and Jaradar)
  5. Kyzyl-Ünkür aiyl okmotu (5: center - village: Kyzyl-Ünkür; and also villages Ak-Bulak, Jaz-Kechüü, Katar-Jangak and Koso-Terek)
  6. Mogol aiyl okmotu (6: center - village: Oogon-Talaa; and also villages Kara-Oy, Kyzyl-Suu, Köktöndü, Charbak and Imeni Chkalova)
  7. Saydykum aiyl okmotu (12: center - village: Saydykum; and also villages Arkalyk, Jany-Abad, Jash-Lenin, Dösh, Dukur, Kyzyl-Ay, Toychubek-Chek, Turpak-Korgon, Khajir-Abad, Chek and Chong-Kurulush)
  8. Talduu-Bulak aiyl okmotu (8: center - village: Kaba; and also villages Sara-Jayyk, Katar-Jangak, Ak-Tyt, Üch-Bulak, Ak-Terek, Kök-Alma and Kyrgoo)
  9. Kengesh aiyl okmotu (8: center - village: Sovetskoye; and also villages Auk, Kara-Jygach, Kyzyl-Oktyabr, Mogol-Korgon, Pervoye Maya, Seyit-Kazy and Shydyr)
